I wrote the following 2 star review in all honesty and to provide genuine feedback - I did not expect the supplier to then come back to me offering a full refund IF I remove what they saw as a negative comment; that smacks to me as bribery, in which case I'm not interested or panic, which would say it all. Their email reads "Then could you give us a chance and help us cancel the negative review on Amazon?"This is sold as a universal holder - it may fit securely on my Suzuki Jimny, but it's useless on my Mercedes C Class. And even when it does fit, if you have any buttons within approx. 85mm of the bottom of the phone, then the side grips will have them pressed in permanently - my Motorola G's buttons are between 65 and 105mm from the bottom, And then to add a further problem, you do need to be very careful in removing the device as the bottom grip is fairly shallow and does not support the phone while the side grips are released. So why don't I return it? because for occasional use in the Jimny, I'll live with the problems and its only occasional use, BUT I will look for something else for the Merc.

I have been using this for a year now. It works well, though does have two problems: 1) phone mount part drops off vent mount part if you are not careful (no real positive securing); and release button on rear allows springs to open the grip on the phone, but the springs are not really strong enough for the job. Otherwise, it performs okay, holding the phone in place better than suction mounted devices I have tried in the past.

Quite pleased with the item. However as an OAP of 71, I needed little help to figure out how to install it. It was easy once I knew what to do but a picture on the box along with the tech info would have helped. I Thought I'd have to return as I didn't think it was suitable for my Peugeot, but I had to visit the Asscom site for help. Once I'd sussed that I tried my phone in it on my way home from work for stability. It was ok but we have several ramped roads near so they'll be the real test. But so far so good.

Well made functional phone holder. Works very well. Used in a Mk4 Golf. The cup holders still have enough room to extend bit it blocks use of one. I leave it permanently in place.Probably the only downsides are the phone in this position interferes with the radio and the dash vent needs to be off if the airflow is on heat but these factors will be common to any holder in this position.

I have been using this product for the last 2 months now and this is good sturdy car mount for iphone 6/6s. The quality of the product is very good. The installation was easy and it holds the phone without moving. i would have given it 5 stars but on big bumps on the road sometimes it wiggles. Good buy and would recommend it to any one.

Fits securely to the air vent, and its one of the few phone holders I've found with a piece to hold the phone at the bottom so it doesn't fly off and try and wedge itself under the pedals when you go over a bump, or just fly off and hide under under one of the seats at that crucial moment when its telling you which exit to take on the round about.If you want a vent mounted phone holder look no further.

The item itself is great, easy to use, only thing is when I have my heating on in the car, even only slightly warm not full blown hot, I can smell an awful melting plastic/toxic smell, this time of year my heating is always on which is an issue with using this phone holder! There shows no signs of the plastic melting but the smell is strong and I'm sure not safe to be breathing in :/

Nice product, but I was told it wouldn't interfere with the headphone socket on an iPhone SE or iPhone 5, but it does. The bottom bracket covers the headphone socket so you can't use the headphone socket whilst it's in the holder without jamming it in at a bit of a funny angle. Misleading description, so three stars for an otherwise seemingly good product.
