Face Forward is a great book for all of you guys who are interested in make-up and the great work of Make-up Guru Kevyn Acoin. He was the best of the bests (in my opinion) He followed his dream and proved to everyone he's the best! He fulfilled his biggest dream which was working with his idol Barbra Streisand! He worked with all the celebrities and it's such an honorable thing from him that he shared his secrets and make-up trick with us. I really enjoyed his book and loved the pictures and took some valuable tips from him and used it in practice as a make-up artist. I love this book!

Great step by step book and usefull hints.Far better than other books ive bought.

I really liked this book but I think it is more orientated towards the make-up professional. I would have liked more details on Kevyn Aucoins tricks for applying different foundations and blending - it is taken for granted that the reader already knows these skills. However, I loved the photographs, the stars and Kevyns' quirky and fun writing style. I was also very pleased with his "getting started" section on what brushes, foundations, colours etc that you need! It has to be said that he is so amazingly talented, I love the transformations he has done on friends and aquaintances who are not "stars" but how he has made them look like superstars! His talents are out of this world, I just wish I knew how to repeat that talent on myself!

Very informative book from the legend that is Kevyn Aucoin ! Never will there be another , RIP .

Well written

I'm so glad that I purchased this second hand. He spends a lot of time just praising all those he met and celebrities who are not as nice as he makes them out to be. His books aren't for ordinary women really. There aren't many secrets. Women already know most things about makeup. My rae Morris books however are wonderful and I spent more because she actually gives better tips without kissing up to the whole of Hollywood! She has two books you should look into. Other than those two books alot of info is repeated in the rest. I will probably give my book away (Kevin's) because it isn't helping me with anything.
