Too large for pizza oven making it hard to use for turning

We got this pizza peel to use inside but also on our grill outside. It screws together easily and has different handle lengths available. However, our problem with it now is storage. It's too long to fit into a cabinet.

I like how long the pizza turner is but after a few uses the handle broke. It won’t retract anymore and it’s past the return time frame.

This pizza peel is a very solid, easy to assemble, easy to store peel. Works great even on the heavier loaded pizza's. Comfortable to hold, made of sturdy materials and very easy to clean. The price is more than reasonable and it definitely does what you need it to. Will work in ovens and pizza ovens but also a good tool to have for your fire pit too. We have used it in all 3 places. We used it on the fire pit to make s'mores, just something with a long handle that is sturdy but has a high heat resistance in order to be quick enough to melt the chocolate. I definitely recommend this peel and I do hope you find this review helpful!

I removed the pizza peel from the box and it was unusable as I prefer not to be burned when using my pizza oven. The peel is supposed to be adjustable. Instead, the extension came off completely and would not tighten its grip on the peel. As a result, it could not be used safely. I reached out to the company by email twice and received no response. It was a waste of money as I had to discard the peel.

I like this turning peel quite a lot!The handle is telescoping and locks tight with a twist. Fully extended it’s long enough to reach into a backyard brick pizza oven. But shortened it’s just the right size for my kitchen oven.The design is well thought out and allows a flat surface on the bottom with no rivets, screws, or other hardware exposed to catch on the edge of your pizza stone or steel as you try to slide it under the pizza.The circular paddle of the peel is slightly convex on the top and concave on the bottom, which really helps to get the pizza turning easily in the oven.The peel is nicely finished in black and dark grey and has a knurled aluminum collar in reddish gold to grip as you twist the shaft to extend, shorten, or lock, the handle.The handle has a silicone grip area that is movable but doesn’t slide around as you’re using the peel, and there’s a molded loop plugging the end of the handle that allows you to hang the peel on the wall, where it will lie flat against it, and out of the way.As long as the buyer understands that this peel is designed for turning cooking pizzas in the oven, and not for the other uses for pizza peels, I highly recommend it.

This replaced my wooden handled turning peel. I prefer the feel and weight of the metal handle and long term durability of it as well. When you tighten down the adjustable brass ring it leaves a mark in the black finish. I would have preferred the peel be natural anodized (silver color) to hide the scratches because the black will eventually get all scratched up but it's not that big a deal. I also would have liked the head to be smaller at 8" instead of 9" but It still works well. The extendable handle is nice. I like being able to adjust it to just the right length for my long arms. It does not adjust long enough to be used for a full size oven in my opinion but for any portable oven (I use an Ooni Koda 16) this is a fantastic option. All my nitpicks aside, I can't see any reason to not give this 5 stars.

When I first got my pizza oven, trying to keep the pie from burning at the back was impossible. Finding a way to turn it was another story. This is exactly what you need to quickly and efficiently turn your pie every 20-30 seconds for a perfectly baked crust.A hanging hood at the end is included, and the handle can be adjusted longer or shorter to keep your hands away from the heat.The peel end is coated with a non-stick coating and is easy to clean up from any melted cheese. I highly recommend if you have a pizza oven!
