Reliable. Easy set up. Good price.
I have a few of these now and I have had no issues in either setting up or using them. One is on a portable oil filled heater with a fan as an additional feature and one on my light for my vivarium. I also have one plugged into my wall socket with an extension bar plugged into it with various lights etc coming off it and they power everything. They work on 2.4ghz wireless frequently which I had no issues with. I am with Virgin Media and can produce both 5 and 2.4ghz at once.Set up took two minutes, they worked instantly with the smart home app and once the skill was enabled in the Alexa app, it all went fine.Gave one to my dad to set up and he couldn't manage it so being technologically aware of wireless and apps and stuff helps :)

Perfect for intended use
Definitely going to end up buying more of these. Really great price and very easy to set up.Works perfectly with my Alexa echo dot.My 6 year old keeps telling Alexa to turn the office lights on and off constantly since I set it up! (plug in lights we have)My 2 year old unfortunately cannot pronounce Alexa properly to be recognised, but he's trying! My 6 year old has said how we need to get one to use for the Christmas tree next christmas, so will definitely be planning to do that :)

It was very easy to set up
It was very easy to set up. Rather simplistic app but it does the job. After the first day it stopped connecting to my internet. Eventually managed to reset it by deleting everything and I haven't had a problem since (touch wood!). I've got a hive plug and light and I wanted a cheaper alternative. This does the job nicely.

Affordable, straightforward, works great with Alexa
There’s honestly not much to say about these plugs — they’re plugs that work with an app on your phone, or with your voice if you have an Amazon Echo/Google Home in your house. We have two electric heaters in the house and they’re in really awkward positions to get to in the middle of winter, so I bought these to make things easier and keep our energy bills in check. Setup was really straightforward — plug in, open the app, follow the instructions (and use AP Mode if you’re having any issues), and you’re ready to go. So long as you name them sensibly, it’s really easy to control them by voice once Alexa/Google Assistant discovers them.Really glad I spent £27 on two of these to make our heating smart, rather than getting a name-brand product that would have cost me £60.

Stopped working within 24 hours and doesn't play well with Virgin Media Hub 3.0.
This stopped working within 24 hours. It lost connectivity and couldn't be reconnected. This was especially frustrating as it took me a looooong time to get it working my virgin hub 3. It's the first time I've had to go into my router settings in years. I think we've rightly come to expect that things will just work! Poor instructions in very obscure English. A notifications during setup saying 'make sure device and phone are...' so when it doesn't work you're screaming 'what? make sure device and phone are what?!' over and over again. I'm a tech savvy chap but this made me feel like my easily befuddled great granddad.Despite all of this, when I got it working I was happy with it for the price. I'm not happy to have gone through all that effort to have to return it as a faulty item the day after receiving it.

Works like a charm.
A great little piece of kit that does exactly what it says. It works well with Alexa as well as the mobile phone app (which is great when you're 'away' from Alexa, but want to turn on the item plugged in...in our case, the electric blanket!).It connected 1st time, but I did have a 'heads up' that it needed the 2.4 gHz band (from a smart bulb that I've also got) - with that knowledge in advance, I had no problems with connection...but an auto-switching signal will not work...you will need a specified 2.4 gHz band (separate from a 5 gHz band, if your router has that capability). All in all, a great piece of kit for the price.

Easy to use
I'm happy with the product.Followed the instructions supplied with the unit.- set hub to 2.4ghz- downloaded eFamily Cloud app- followed the app instructions, but was unable to find the plug- put plug in AP mode and connected phone to the plug rather than the home wifi- the app then found the plug and setup continued as per instructions. In all, just a few minutes to setup. Alexa controls it quickly and easily and schedules are easily set. I will be buying more of these.

Disappointingly unreliable
I'm sorry to report that I returned this plug today. My intention was to use the device with its remote switching capability to control interior lights via my phone. Sadly, it became impossible to rely on the plug as a security aid because it kept losing its wifi connection for no obvious reason. Resetting required switching it on and off at the mains. I purchased this item to replace a very reliable TP-Link smart plug that I foolishly gave away over Xmas. I hoped to save a lot of cash at a time when the price of the TP-Link had risen to over £30. It's now £25 again. I guess you get what you pay for! I should point out that the Horsky device is easy to set up and works well with Alexa - when it is connected to wifi. Note that the indicator light is very bright.
