SAFCOL Gourmet on the Go Chunk Light Tuna with Sweet Chili Sauce, 6-Ounce Cans (Pack of 12)

After trying some of the bumblebee flavored tunas and a few of the starkist ones I really hoped that this would be as good. I was wrong. To start out with the tuna in the can is not even close to the others quality. The other brands are more of a fillet stamped out and canned. This is tiny chuncks crammed into a can with a sickly sweey sauce. I would guess it is about 60% tuna 40% sauce. I like sweet chili sauce.... I like tuna.... I dont like this though.UPDATE: --- I thought I had come up with a good way to get rid of this tuna. I would feed it to my dog. My dog (which loves tuna) just refused to eat this. I guess she would rather eat dogfood than this product!

I had high hopes for this product, especially since the calorie count and fat content are very good. However, I ended up being disappointed. The tuna is not as dense and packed much wetter than other brands. I also did not like the favor, which I found more sweet rather than chili sauce. The sweet chili flavor was not for my taste. I donated the remainder of the case to the local food bank.

I lived in New Zealand for about 4.5 years and fell in love with flavored tunas. I was excited to find I could purchase them on Amazon. The sweet chili was always my favorite but there are many flavors to choose from, shake up your tuna habit!!!

Was looking for an alternative to the American Chili Tuna. Thought this would work. Tried two cans and tossed the rest. It might work for you, but I would have felt bad donating to a food bank.

I ordered a case of all three flavors Amazon offers. All were wonderful! It's about the same liquid to fish ratio as standard tuna, except instead of water you pour down the sink, you get very well seasoned sauces. The "Sweet Chili" flavor features a very nice chili taste with a sweet finish and very little heat. 170-calories (give or take)per can. Throw in some mini carrote and a few crackers, and you have a very satisfying meal for very few calories. The price is great too!

Just didn't like the taste and texture. The Spicy one is much better. I also found small bone chips in the fish

I like to take this to work and mix it with some rice noodles for extra crunch. Has a wonderful chili flavor but not too spicy. I have very much enjoyed every SAFCOL product I have purchased here on Amazon.

I love the combination of the sweet chili sauce and the tuna. Neither flavor overpowers the other. Tastes great right out of the can.
