I have long waist length thick hair, it's a bit of a pain to keep under control, however I really didn't consider a paddle brush until I read an article on the web. I have been using a radial brush by Kent, which was fine as brushes go, but didn't feel it was really the right brush for my hair type or length.Anyway, after countless hours on the web and being abs terrified by Mason Pearson prices I decided a Denman was the way to go.The brush (D81L large grooming brush) is fantastic. I really didn't think a brush could make a difference, but it can! I am thrilled! My hair is not static, feels smooth and brushed properly, strangely it also looks more smooth and shiney.In short, if you are pondering as much as I did over where to spend your money, you really can't go wrong here.I'd read that some reviewers felt the nylon porcupine quill too long and uncomfortable to use, I was worried about this myself, however I find that it works wonders on thick hair and I don't feel any discomfort from this aspect of the brush.

I lost my very expensive morrocco method hair brush and needed an alternative. I decided to give this a try on the basis it looks very similar and consists of the same bristles.I love it! It's affordable and I don't mind that the handle feels a bit weak. It's lightweight and make my scalp feel amazing and moves therapy oils from scalp to roots. I have the Larg and Small on subscribe and save and I think I will collext a few. With 2 daughters I need brushes everywhere.

Soft bristles but firm enough to brush through 4c hair, perfect for my daughter who complaints about her hair being combed!

I unfortunately lost my long-owned Mason and Pearson hairbrush and was unable to replace it immediately due to the high cost of their products. Having googled good affordable alternatives, this hairbrush was recommended to it so I bought it. I think for the price it is a very, very good brush. It is comfortable to use and largely does the job. My only complaints were that the handle felt weak so I’m not sure how long it would last if you have particularly thick/knotty hair, and that it fails to reach the knots that develop right by the scalp. Could be because my hair is quite thick and this brush couldn’t cope. So for me it was a very reasonably priced stopgap, the dealbreaker long term would have been lack of reach to deep knots by the scalp.

I am a lazy brusher. There are days I don’t even look in the mirror to see my coarse, wiry greying mop of hair.I had a Denman hairbrush years ago, but alas it broke, (not due to my wiry hair, but due to my heavy handedness). I decided to fork out £15 to improve my appearance, and to make my hair feel like it did all those years ago. I am now brushing more often, and having the wee glance in the mirror to admire the brushes creation. I am not quite turning heads, (it’s early days though!) 😀

I've always wanted one of these brushes and eventually bit the bullet. Used it to blow dry my hair and I have to say my hair has never felt so smooth. Really impressed, I would love if they made this brush in paddle shape but I'll take what I've got. Well worth the price 😊
