Australia's visionary Ne Obliviscaris return on Season of Mist with their stunning new album Urn. The six tracks see the forward thinking band hone their unique and expansive style that blends the best of both the extreme and the progressive sides of metal. Epic cuts like "Intra Venus" and "Libera (Part's I and II)" exude power, grace, and the confidence of a band at their absolute best. Ne Obliviscaris is one of modern metal's most dynamic bands, and Urnis yet another masterpiece!

Great album
I thoroughly enjoyed this album. A great mix of clean and dirty vocals, and impeccable instrumentation. As a bass player I really love hearing the bass within the music and take a big role and a decent amount of songs have that. Definitely worth the purchase, and the packaging is a very nice digipak as well.

A great album greatly hindered by questionable production quality
The music on this album is quite good, possibly even in the same league as their previous releases. That being said, I don't have much positive to say about it beyond that because the production on this album distracts from and suffocates the music a bit too much for me to REALLY immerse myself in it. It sounds rather muddy, especially in comparison to their previous albums (which suffered no such production issues). I still give it a positive rating because, after several listens, I am at least able to enjoy what I hear, and the musical composition sounds just as good as always. It's just a bit of a shame, especially coming after Citadel (which is probably the single best metal album I've ever heard).
