be quiet! BL071 Silent Wings 3 140mm PWM high-speed, cooling fan, Black

Although it is auto speed controlled by the motherboard it is still quiet even when running at full speed.

Bought this to introduce fresh air into our outdoor sauna cabin, wood burning stove type... fitted into the wall behind the chimney and halfway up.The fan and it's speed is managed through a miniature 12Vdc motor control... the fan is soooooo quiet at half speed which is all that is necessary to draw in fresh air. This incoming fresh air is heated by the rising heat from the sauna stones, giving us all the fresh (hot) we need.Air for the wood burner is of course is a vent/duct in the floor, NOT through this upper inlet vent.Great fan, quality made and perfect for this job. The fan body is ''inside" the 90mm Kingspan insulation board so is no where near the risingsteam - wouldn't last long in that! Aluminium ducting brings the fresh air through the wall... the fan motor is in the relative (outside) dry and cold atmosphere, so should last many years.

I bought two 140mm PWM high-speed silent wings 3 and one 120 version with the same features. They are very easy to install and the box includes a set of standard fan screw mounts and an additional set of anti-vibration mounts which be quiet! claims they reduce vibrations inside your case which reduces noise levels. They are ridiculously quiet at around 1000 rpm but get very noisy at their max speeds - 1600 rpm for the 140mm fans and a whopping 2200rpm for the 120 fan which is the loudest at full speed.)In my opinion, they feel very high quality which comes from the design if the frame which is shaped like an inlet which be quiet! claims they produce more pressure and the fan blades have a unique design as well, which is my favourite feature on those fans. The blades have grooves that stretch along the entire surface of the fan on both sides which be quiet! claims they maximise airflow while maintaining low noise level. I personally believe these are the best fan designs or there and if not, one of the best.Overall, the be quiet! silent wings 3 are high quality fans that do not compromise on silence and performance while also having a great design, and the price is reasonable.

Woah, this thing absolutely pummels are through your system!! And it's quiet as a whisper, except with mine when it's going slowly, it sounds like it's catching, oddly - considering there's nothing for it to catch on.Compared with the same size 140mm Corsair fan, it really pushes a lot of air through, you can feel the difference and the build quality feels like it's worth the money, it doesn't feel cheap, like some other fans I've had. Some are built to look nice, and have LED's etc - this is built to last and do what it says. I was/am really tempted to look at the BEQUIET case's - I've got a Dark Rock 3 CPU cooler and it's fantastic, the rubber mounts and rubber around the outside of the fan make it feel like a solid bit of kit. Impressive - definitely worth the money when compared to other fans in the same price category.

What a difference these make. I brought a corsair h100i v2 a few months ago for 2 reasons 1, I thought it'd be kinda cool to have, and 2, everyone was saying water coolers were quiet.Well 2 was rubbish, as the stock fans made a right old racket. Yes I made a custom curve but even on low speeds they made a terrible grinding sound.So after reading some reviews went with these, BL064's. Went for the low rpm fans, which yes might not push a grand amount of air compared to others, but now I can barely hear my case when gaming. Compared to the constant up and down spinning I had before, and no grinding sound when on lowest rpm.Wasn't sure how to fit the wired pin connectors, but the screws from corsair fans and the snap in connectors worked fine.Note. You can hear them on max speed, but it's comfortable compared to the nonsense the corsair fans delivered.

Bought 3 of these to replace the aging Corsair ML140’s and ML120’s I had from buying my case. All fans are for case cooling (no water cooling).I was nervous about getting fans that reduce noise (spinning slower) as I thought they may not cool as efficiently yet as it turns out, these fans are far more efficient in every department.Compared to the ML’s, the SW’s at full speed are a fraction of the noise and aren’t needed to spin up to full speed as often as the ML’s did due to their mid speed efficiency.Easy to install, they come with rubber mounts for noise cancellation which I used and I genuinely wish I made the change sooner!

This fan for me has nearly it all I say that because I would have liked pwm on this particular model having said that it is completley silent with the sata connector to 7volt Arghh bliss ! and it leaves room for your other fans on M/B to have connectors.Yep I have tried many fans with my unusual upside down exaust fan and they did not cut the mustard (noisy) including famous brand names this one does it all worth paying that bit extra for bliss. all fittings suppled make sure you order the correct model number for your needs the one I ordered was BL065 which runs a max 1000rpm Ideal for my case.Just one more thing would have liked a magnetic screwdriver to go !

I bought these to replace the fans that came in my Corsair 4000D, whisper quiet and easy to install. I couldnt really notice an audiable increase compaired to not having them on. They will defo be the quietest thing in your case.When my PSU and GPU fan's are off (which is most of the time) I can barely hear my pc and I'm very sensitive to sound.Gonna get a 3rd one for the top of the case.
