WARNING not all the fittings seal correctly!I bought these for my new home as a lot of the pipework will be on display (chrome) and liked the look of these instead of the compression fittings. I used them on the pipework coming out of the skirting board which had been used to box more pipes in. As I didn't want multiple cuts along my skirting board to make way for them I drilled holes in for the pipes to pass through. I connected all the pipes and proceeded to pressure test the system to find it was leaking on one of the fittings. That meant I had to cut the pipes and take all the skirting off as you CANNOT use a tool to disconnect the pipes. This is a TECTITE brand which doesn't allow you to use the tool to disconnect, it is the CONEX brand that you can use this tool on however I haven't been able to find a chrome Conex push fit product on the market. I had also purchased 2 x 22mm Tectite elbows from another supplier (copper) which also leaked and had to cut out and replace. When I had the plumber out to hang the boiler he said they were rubbish and would not recommend them. I ended up having to put a leak sealer into my central heating system as there was still a small amount weeping from one of the joints. This worked but I would have rather saved A LOT of MY TIME and money if I had known.Out of the 8 Tectite products purchased 3 were faulty!!!My advice would be find another product, it may not look as nice but I'm sure it will preform a lot better than this one. You will also save yourself a bit of money.
