The Coloured Pencil Artist's Drawing Bible: An essential reference for the practising artist (Artist's Bible) Paperback – 23 Sept. 2016

There are some useful bits of information, but most content could be found free on the internet. When it claims to be the ‘bible’ of coloured pencil drawing I expected some step by step examples of different subjects, but alas you just get finished works. Many of these are not very well drawn and uninspiring. Rather disappointed in the book and can’t see me going back to it for reference etc.

I was disappointed in this book. The first part gives quite helpful information on starting with coloured pencils but there were too many illustrations of artists' work and subjects without any help in how to achieve the range of techniques. I would have liked more step-by-step guidance such as I have found in art magazines.

The book is just an encyclopedia, but if like me you want detailed information, it's a waste of money.

I love this series. They contain such useful information and tips.
