## Description

Product Description Noctua’s NT-H1 is a renowned hybrid thermal compound that has received more than 150 awards and recommendations from international hardware websites and magazines. Thanks to its excellent performance, exceptional ease of use and outstanding long-term stability, it has become an established favourite among overclockers and enthusiast users worldwide. Whether it’s air- or water-based cooling, CPU or GPU applications, overclocking or silent systems: NT-H1 is a proven premium paste that’s certain to deliver great results. Award-winning performance Bundled with Noctua’s premium-grade CPU coolers since 2007, NT-H1 has proven its excellent performance in countless of tests and reviews. Chosen again and again by overclockers and hardware enthusiast around the globe, it has established itself as a benchmark for premium-quality thermal interface materials (TIMs). Easy to clean NT-H1 is one of the easiest to clean thermal compounds on the market: Simply wipe it off the CPU and heatsink with a dry tissue or paper towel, then wipe them clean with a moist tissue or towel. No cleaning alcohol or solvent required! Not electrically conductive, non-corroding While some high-end thermal compounds and pads are risky to use due to their electrical conductivity or corroding properties, there’s no risk of short-circuits with NT-H1 and it’s completely safe to use with any type of CPU cooler, regardless of whether it’s made from copper or aluminium and whether it’s nickel-plated or not. Excellent long-term stability NT-H1's unique formula is highly stable over time, even after longer periods of usage. It can be stored at room temperature for at least 3 years and due to the compound’s exceptional curing, bleeding, dry-out and thermal cycling characteristics, it can be used on the CPU for 5 years or more. 3.5g package for 3-20 applications 3.5g package for 3-20 applications Sufficient for around 3-20 applications (depending on the size of the CPU or GPU, e.g. around 3 applications for large CPUs such as TR4 and around 20 for small CPUs such as LGA1151), the classic 3.5g packaging size is ideal for most users who only install coolers every now and then. Easy to apply Thanks to its excellent spreading properties, there is no need to manually spread NT-H1 before installing the cooler: Simply apply some paste onto the CPU (see instructions for details), put on the heatsink and you’re ready to go!

Review: Great high quality paste that has sorted my thermal issue for years - This has worked fine for me, my CPU was beginning to have thermal problems, this thermal paste completely fixed the issue, Its lasted a few years now and havent noticed any thermal issues since. It was very easy to apply, the tube didnt feel flimsy and the quality of the paste was great, it spread easily but didnt make a mess at all. This is great value for money, ive still got loads left in the tube even.
Review: Trusted thermal paste that’s easy to apply and delivers consistently solid temps - I’ve used the Noctua NT-H1 thermal paste on a couple of CPU installations now, and it’s been consistently excellent. Application is very straightforward — the paste has a good consistency, neither too runny nor too thick, which makes spreading or using the pea method easy and predictable. It doesn’t dry out quickly during application, so you’ve got a bit of working time to seat the cooler properly. In terms of performance, it does exactly what you’d expect from a quality thermal compound. Temperatures remain stable under load, and I’ve seen solid results both at idle and during more demanding tasks like gaming and rendering. It’s not flashy, but it’s dependable — which is exactly what you want from thermal paste. Long-term stability is another strong point. Once applied, it doesn’t require frequent reapplication and maintains performance over time, which is ideal for builds you don’t want to keep reopening. The only minor drawback is that the tube is quite small at 3.5g, so if you’re doing multiple builds or frequent repasting, you may run out sooner than expected. That said, for a typical single PC build, it’s more than enough. Overall, this is a high-quality, no-nonsense thermal compound that delivers consistent cooling performance with minimal hassle. A very safe choice for both beginners and experienced builders.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this work on consoles ??**
A: Yes, our NT-H1 will also work on consoles.

**Q: can i use this on a GPU heatsink?**
A: Yes you can use it on the actual GPU die, but not on the VRMs or vRAM. Those parts require thermal pads. When applying on the GPU die, just be sure to cover the whole silvery die part (use excess).

**Q: is it electrically conductive?**
A: Not electrically conductive, non-corrodingNT-H1 possesses a very low dielectric constant and a high dielectric strength. Therefore, there's no danger of short-circuits even in case of direct contact with components or conducting paths. Fully compatible with all materials commonly employed in PC environments, NT-H1 is suited for use with aluminium and copper coolers.

**Q: will it still keep the CPU temperature low 8 weeks after initial application? My application of a rival brand did not - please help**
A: In my experience (as an Intel CPU user) application of Noctua's NT-H1 compound is not only straightforward but is reliable in delivering sustained temperature results. In fact I have never found it necessary to replace the compound other than during any maintenance requiring CPU removal or upon CPU replacement/upgrade.

In fact I have had to replace CPU's more frequently than this compound!

Hope this helps!!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For sheer performance
*by A***E on 31 July 2015*

Noctua need no introduction ... They are very well known for their superb quality, low noise cooling fans. Having said that I "discovered" the NT-H1 thermal compound barely a year ago ! This thermal compound offers the best cooling for CPUs (& GPUs) when compared to the other brands. It might only translate to a couple of degrees, however every degree counts, especially when overclocking. I still use Arctic's MX-4 and 2 on most builds thanks to the price to performance ratio. The MX-4 (4g) tube costs quite less than the NT-H1. Noctua opt to write specific gravity and ml instead of weight. Now this works out (correct me if I'm wrong) to be just under 3.5g. They also claim that it will suffice for at least 15 applications, however I doubt that this will be the case on the larger Haswell E CPUs. Now to the testing of the NT-H1 compared to the MX-4 (which claims to be better) - see picture In my case the NT-H1 is the winner. The maximum difference I saw when testing on laptop and desktop computers was 10-13°C and minimum was 2°C. The more demanding CPUs benefited most and are the ones that fell into the 10-13°C category. Another thing I like about this paste is the hassle free removal. No mess at all. Bottom line: If you want the best thermal compound, than the NT-H1 should be on your shortlist.
