Medieval Sword Prop
I was initially sceptical about this product having wanted it more as a wall mounted curiosity than anything else, but the sword is a pretty good robust item, I haven't clouted anyone with it yet but I suspect it is better built than the plastic swords we had when we were kids, It's a shame it doesn't come with a scabbard but at it's price no-one is complaining, and a bit of craftwork would complete a unique look. It is made from stiffened plastic and convincingly aged giving it a sturdy useable prop, the weight is initially surprising as it is so light and it has a fairly accurate appearance of a late 11th and 12th century look complete with "Blood Channel" running partway down the center of the blade. the length of the sword is an authentic 28 inches overall, the blade being 22-23 inches long. As a wall mount it is very convincing and quite pleasing, as a stage prop it is also just as convincing, but I doubt it could stand up to a field re-enactors battle. You could tweak it a little further perhaps with some carefully placed nips and grooves for that realistic "Used" look but all in all for its price a nice bit of weaponry, expect a slight delay in ordering as it has to ship from Lithuania, so it will take about a week via the Royal Mail.

Excellent sword
This is a good, very sturdy toy sword. I haven't tried it (got it for a costume), but I would guess it's strong enough to take a good deal of punishment. The blade is about 22in (56.5cm) long, broad and slightly tapered, the fuller running to just over half its length, with crosses on both sides of the wheel pommel, and three crosses on each side of the blade, and a simple but elegant cross-guard. The grip is moulded with a pretty realistic wire binding. It's a realistic dull steel colour with darker pitting, like an old weapon. It's clearly much more closely modelled on genuine swords (similar to a slightly scaled-down 13th to 14th century 'Oakshott Type XII' to be precise) than usual toys. Although intended as a toy, it's more than adequate for an adult's single-handed sword (the grip is easily long enough). The one criticism I would have is that there is no scabbard. Otherwise, though, a lovely item.

The sword is pretty strong for a toy.
I didnt expect much from a toy sword but its made of some strong plastic, and has weight to it. it will hurt if u hit someone with it more than you think. its strong durable and beautiful, i would give iit 5 stars if not the one part that the paint easily comes off, if you hold the blade with sweaty hands for too long you will find your hand grey. so better hold it by the handle. this aside its great. looks pretty realistic for a toy, and its not dangerous but you dont want to get hit by it.

Strong
I was surprised with just how sturdy this sword was. I saw the images and that it was plastic and didn't have high hopes but holding it and having a few test swings really showed the strength of the material. You could probably use this sword in a fake duel and it wouldn't break, I wouldn't be surprised. Looks real and works well with a medieval costume

Great sword
As a child whenever I got a plastic sword, the always bent an d buckled. When I ordered this for my son, I thought it looked great. I wasn't disappointed, hands down the best plastic sword I've ever seen. My inner 7 year old is massively jealous!

Very sturdy plastic swords! Durable, no bending, kids will love them!
I bought two of these, they are very sturdy for plastic swords, and my daughter can try and hit me as hard as she can and i can parry without worry of breaking or bending them! Great price and what they lack in realism they more than make up for in durability! I might well buy some more for friends!I might suggest wrapping some cloth/leather around the grip as a sharp blow can be felt through the plastic. I wish me and my brothers had these when we were growing up haha.

Perfect toy sword
It took a bit of time to come, however, it was worth the wait :) it’s really tough and sturdy and it’s size is perfect for my kids, I highly recommend this product and it’s definitely worth the value of money :)
