BLACK+DECKER300W Multi-Oscillating Tool

Bought this tool on a whim after using my friends and not dissapointed. From cutting air vents in a door, to trimming skirting while it's stuck to the wall to cutting fiddly shapes so my boxing in fits snuggly, it is brilliant for precision cutting where you can't get a saw in.The blades are clip on and secure. The power dial is easily adjusted and offers more control to start off the task when on low and you can instantly ramp it up to finish off the job with speed with faster cutting.I've used it for plunge cutting and at an angle for accurate trimming and it excels at both.There are more powerful and expensive versions on the market but this is robust and powerful enough for most jobs. Well worth investing.

I have had this product now for 3-4 years and safe to say it is a trusty servant in my tool box, I use it a lot for delicate or fine cutting. I tend to use up a lot of blades though but that is because of the shear amount of cutting I do and that none of my other tools are suitable. For some things a mini-circular saw would be far superior but for me not worth the expense.Cons: After this amount time it does get quite hard to use the quick release.

I have now realised there are better value products in the market place. On reflection I could have shopped around more and saved some money. It does seem robust, bit disappointed at the availability of replacement blades etc. one needs to be aware that not all of them fit! the tool seems solidly built and as headlined has power. Time will tell.

Purchased two days before it arrived (Free delivery!!). Looks like a really robust tool in good strong case. I really like the speed at which accessories can be fitted. Feels good in the hand. I got this at a really good price which went up the day after purchase. Should last a long time as this is an occasional tool. Used it to scrape out some hardened glue in a door joint; brilliant!! I can see me carrying this everywhere!! Well worth the money!!

Excellent tool for a variety of jobs. It has proved invaluable with remodelling my living room. From cutting into door jams, precision cutting laminate flooring, cutting floorboards for access, cutting holes in metal back boxes... it have saved me so much time and hassle. the only thing to bear in mind is making sure you have the right blades. The moment the wood saws hit anything metal it will come out looking like a guest on Jeremy Kyle, i.e. only having one tooth left. You will want to invest in one of the circular blades only with the mounting raised as a minimum. Don't press too hard when sanding or you will melt all of the velcro hooks.

So handy and work great with anything I throw at it. Very powerfull and has no issues with it using it a lot. Did fascia, soffit and gutters all around the house and several other project with ease. Would buy again but so far, it is working as it did when I bought it

I thought long and hard as to the usefulness of these tools, especially as they are not cheap.I had a job to do that really only one of these would do easily and when I saw the B & D one, at the price It is a bargain.It is well built, has quick change function, variable speed , and spare blades are readily available.Since buying it, it is now the first cutting tool of choice, as it is robust but light, quick to set up, very versatile, and so nice to use.No regrets about buying one. Recommended.

Ok... some good some bad.The sander is not fit for purpose. There are other reviews (which I regret to say I ignored) which comment on the sanding block melting after a short time. I can confirm that this is true and is a substandard material (weren't Black and Decker a top brand a few years back?). The most frustrating aspect is that the sanding pads do not stay on the block (there is a Velcro-type bond between the pad and block) and the pad slips off... a lot (which perpetuates the melting block problem and ruins the block's Velcro-type surface - which means the pad slips off even more readily and then the problem spirals down).I have taken to gluing the pads onto the block - this has been effective but not exactly what I paid for.The other tools work well. I have used the 'scraping tool' and the saw. These are effective and strong.I have other Black and Decker tools and have had a positive experience with them.Honestly, if you need a sander as part of your multi tool kit - I'd look elsewhere. Sorry B&D!
