Great lightsaber sword,would recommend
Arrived very quickly. Have to say it did not look all that much in the packaging. Once opened though you flick your wrist and switch on the LEDs and it could easily be one of the star wars "official" (ie 5x the price) lightsabers. Very cool and great cycling through the colours but the flashing mode is definitely my favourite especially with the lights turned out. Blue green red purple yellow are all there as well as some others. Have ordered another one for a Jedi vs Sith match.By the way you need to pull out the clear plastic flap sticking out the handle before it will switch on. I missed this at first and thought it was faulty. Also the handle is more a silvery colour, but with the LEDs on in the dark it does look black like in the pictures.

Brilliant value, great for the kids.
Not bad at all considering the price. Kids have enjoyed many duels.Sturdy enough to withstand plenty of clashes and very nice bright LED colours, especially at night. We were even able to use it as a torch!! Folds down to a compact size when not in use so the kids can carry it around without causing too much of a nuisance. Also love the way you can extend it with a sharp flick of the wrist. Great for catching mum off guard, very satisfying. All in all great value considering the official ones seem to cost at least three times as much. Will be buying some more for the nephews...

Great to look at, but not the sturdiest dueling weapon
A really good lightsaber for a costume or party. However, I would note that the handle is not as realistic as some of the other lightsabers, and the blade does not fully retract inside the handle. Additionally, the blade is made of a softer plastic than some other brands, which I suppose is necessary to give it such bright colour, however this makes for a slightly weaker dueling weapon.

No steady blue, green or red light function, and should probably come with an epilepsy warning
I bought this item as a (slightly) cheaper alternative to an official red lightsabre toy for my daughter, swayed by the option to choose between three or four different colours should she decide to pretend to be anyone other than Darth Vader. However, the item description was misleading - there is no steady light function for red, green or blue, only purple, and instead those colours flash, which isn't very 'lightsabre-y' at all.The product itself isn't too bad - I mean, it's a bit cheap (like the sort of tat you'd buy at a funfair), but it's still usable - so I contacted the Glow Company to ask what they could do in lieu of forcing me to return the item unnecessarily (which would be inconvenient and environmentally wasteful, not to mention irresponsible given the current lockdown situation). In short, the Glow Company shamelessly used 'fulfilled by Amazon' as an excuse to do nothing whatsoever besides demand that the item be returned, even after explaining how inconvenient, wasteful and irresponsible that would be, and then went on to claim that they had no control over what it says in the description of their own item listing. It's a shame, because Amazon is environmentally friendly and customer-centric, whereas the Glow Company would seem to be the opposite - profit first, the customer and environment be damned.I should probably also mention that one function of this item is a strobe light effect that alternates between blue, green and red, which is enough to strain the eyes and threaten to trigger a migraine if observed for much longer than a few seconds. I'm no expert on epilepsy, but this is the sort of thing that I'd expect to come with warning. All in all, this 'lightsabre' is... okay, I guess - nothing special and not great quality, but it's alright. It just lets itself down a lot with the lack of steady light functionality, as promised in its description, and the dismal customer service received from the Glow Company takes it into a full-blown one-star nosedive. For the aspiring Darth Vaders, Luke Skywalkers and Obi-Wan Kenobis out there, you can do a lot better than this.Edit: After just a few weeks, this 'lightsabre' is now irreparably broken. If I could give this product zero stars, I would.

Easily dismantled
Although the idea of this is great and the lights are really bright. I think it's a bit cheaply made and easily broken. Don't think it's worth the money but each to their own.

Does exactly what it promised - and good price.
Telescopic, so collapsed a couple of times before I got the hang of it, but after that stayed extended very well. The lights all worked realy well, and stayed on with no probs for hours. It doesn't make noises, but to be honest I didn't need it to, as it was for a fancy dress party, and for the price I thought it was an excellent buy. I love that you can scroll through the colours, so it can be used for different characters.

Cheap, tacky, not good enough quality for cosplay purposes, and no where near tough enough to withstand child-play.
I purchased this for use as part of a costume, although I found myself a little disappointed. The light sabre is effectively a low quality flashlight with a three foot retractable 'blade' attached to it. There is a switch on the handle that activates a coloured light, and the colour of the light can be changed by pressing the switch again. There are a total of about half a dozen colours available that allows you to choose what type of light sabre you want. The handle unfortunately *looks* like a cheap plastic flash light, and when the blade is fully extended it has a 'stepped' look about it as a result of being constructed of three sections that slide into each other much like a radio antenna does. The blade is wobbly and fragile and isn't realistic or convincing enough to be used for anything other than the cheapest and most tacky of fancy dress costumes, nor would it be sturdy enough to resist the rigors of child-play in my opinion. Finally, at about £12 I think the item is overpriced, with trademarked Star Wars light sabres being available for not a great deal more.

Great light saber for those who don't want to spend ...
Great light saber for those who don't want to spend a lot of money. I thought I would test this one out on my kids in case they were inclined to break them very quickly. Lots of opening and closing and leaving the lights on all day and a few epic battles. Still going strong. Does not make noise, has different light settings, some show just a solid colour or a flashing colour, and one awful strobe setting that will induce seizures or at the very least give you a massive headache. Kids love it.
