Good product
I have just bought three BearMoo whetstones, the 240/800, the 400/1000 and the 3000/8000 so I can put an edge back on all my kitchen knives. They all work perfectly after soaking and I can easily sharpen any blunt knife with the 240 grit and work my way up to the 8000 grit to put a nice fine edge on the knife. I then finish sharpening the knife on a leather strop which gives a really keen edge. Once a good edge has been created you can use a steel and leather strop to maintain the sharpness of your knives.

Awful!!!!!
Worst stone ever used!!! Chef for 22yrs now, sharpened 2 knifes, a Global G2 & Io Shen chopper. Within 10 minutes on doing both knifes half of the 240 grit was gone. Way to soft & will never waste my money on this brand again.....

Great stone to establish a grind and get things reasonably sharp
does as it should. Don't use this for already sharp knives, get a finer stone. This is good and effective for blunt knives or establishing a new grind. I used this to establish a grind on a thin metal bar

We have really been enjoying sharpening knives - we have six levels of sharpening - this one is the second stone, and it is great to begin the real sharpening process for knives that have not got the edge. Great stuff.

This stone is very soft and won't last long. I sharpened a single plane iron and already the 220 grit face is significantly bowed, with a dip between ends and middle of about 3mm
