Proper chain riveting tool for large sportbike drive chains.
I purchased this tool after a cheaper chain riveting tool broke the first time I used it while trying to rivet the master link on my motorcycle drive chain. This tool did the job with ease. The very heavy duty construction of the press along with the ball bearing tipped rivet anvil made riveting the master link on my ZX14R Ninja drive chain a breeze.

Riveting ball bearing is soft
Everything else worked well with this tool, but when it came to rivet a chain. the "ball bearing" in the tool used to rivet the chain deformed. I've never seen a ball bearing deform.... It easily broke a 520 chain, and pressed the side plate on with ease, so its not all bad, but you may need to figure out something else for riveting. I'm going to get a different ball bearing and try it again. Also - It came with the wrong instructions which was quite entertaining.

A substantial chunk of a tool!
This thing is built! I was very happy with the end result after using this tool. I used it for the first time on a D.I.D. chain; It does a wonderful job of riveting.

Works a few times
The product works mostly as advertised. The instructions recommends you grind flat the rivets on a 530 chain and while you don't have I would recommend you do. The pin will deform if you don't. The ball bearing for the rivet tool isn't a real ball bearing and it won't work. I used the ball inside the rivet breaker

Missing backing plate
Was missing pieces, and now it’s outside the return window, so I’m stuck with a useless tool.

side plate install w press worked well
did not use press out portion, but directions do say to grind off before pressing, so I would see no problem using it for that if done properly. it worked well to mushroom the pins while reinstalling a new chain

Plate press is very difficult to use.
Everything works great except the plate press. Very difficult to tell if your lined up with the rivets. This was a source of frustration, it would be easy to ruin a masterlink. I may try to drill out or slot the holes before using it again.
