New Ladies Womens Over Knee Long Casual Ladies Thigh High Plain Stretch Fit Cotton Overknee Socks

Nice long socks which sit well up on my thighs. Elastic top feels comfortable yet secure. My legs are fairly slim though 41-49cm (16"-19") around my thighs. These are the shade I wanted which is more of dark red wine, or plum rather than purple as called on the label.I am now rather confused! Unfortunately, one of my socks has disappeared. Eventually I thought I would just have to order another pair. I wasn't sure that I had the right retailer but thought I had, until the socks arrived. However, it seems they are the same as those ordered previously and while there is nothing wrong with the quality etc of the second pair, the colour is quite different. In my initial review (the above paragraph) I remarked on the shade being just what I wanted. As can be seen, the replacements are not exactly the same. I have other pairs this colour and really wanted the plummy colour. I expect I'll just have to hope the other sock turns up somewhere but I am disappointed in the meantime as the new pair are not the same colour as the shoes I want to wear them with. In legal terms though,"burgundy" covers a very wide spectrum and I expect that the shade of this later pair is within the tolerance allowed. Maybe the moral of the story is to always buy 2 pairs of socks to begin with in case you lose one!

I am very happy with my purchase but I didn't buy them to wear. I would say they would probably be a bit narrow for someone like me with chunky calves but I bought them to turn into a simple and supercheap draught excluder - one stuffed with bubble wrap left over from packaging from another purchase, knotted at the leg end and then the other pulled over in the opposite direction. That said, material seems good and decent quality at a low price and I would say they were pretty stretchy and would readily fit most people comfortably.

Fit as expected, this is the third pair i've bought with the first 2 pairs being in red . They are comfortable and go just over my knees. Not exceptionally thick but they are helping to keep the chill at bay underneath my fitted trousers etc. Wash easily and are nicely made.UPDATE January 4th 18I love the fact that they kept me warm and were comfortable when travelling but the material started ripping on the 5th day of wearing them so have binned two of my pairs due to the massive holes/rips that emerged. So overall they do not last long at all

I honestly can't tell how long over the knee socks are typically supposed to be. I'm a man so this was the first time I wore a pair of them. The size is 4-6 shoe size, and I'm 7. I'm also 1.7m. I was able to get them over my knees though by stretching them. I gather that's what they're meant to do. However they are comfortable and in my opinion worth the cheap price you pay for them.

Too tight in the thigh. Length was ok. I'm about 5.6 or 5.7 inside leg 33", size 12 but with what some may call average thighs. Not skinny, definitely not large. The elastic cuts into the thigh and there is no give to make them adjustable for different shapes and sizes. But I guess you get what you pay for. No doubt I'll end up buying a quality pair from a reputable high street retailer.

I purchased 5 pairs if these for my daughter who started back at school yesterday . She came home and the elastic was snapping on the first pair. She put the second pair on today and noticed immediately there is a hole in the heel. So that's 2 out of 5 new pairs so far. Her last batch latested the whole year. I am disappointed with the quality of this batch.

As they were for my 11year old grand daughter I was concerned about fit so purchased 1 pair and as they were a good fit and just what she wanted I ordered another 5 pairs. We have yet to find out how they perform in use.Very good price with free and quick delivery.

Incredibly tight elastic. I bought these for my elderly mother in law, who struggles with tights and stockings, but I don't think she will be able to wear them. The is of slim build with slim legs, but the elastic around the top is so tight that it will probably cut off the blood supply to her legs. They might be alright for a very skinny child, but not an adult.
