Shure SE112-GR-EFS Sound Isolating Earphones, Deep Bass, Black/Grey

Received these last week and have been really impressed. It took me a while to pick which pair to buy as I struggled to separate genuine reviews from fake/seller sponsored.I punted for these after reading reviews outside of Amazon and ended up spending a little over my budget. I do not regret it and have been really happy with my purchase.The sound quality is great, you can hear little details in songs I had previously missed. They really do keep a lot of external noise out. Far more than any pair of ear phones I have bought.I struggle with earphones falling out my ears and being uncomfortable, but these stay in and don't get uncomfortable even after a few hours.I haven't tried exercising in them yet but if I have issues will update the review.Cannot comment on longevity / life of product as only had a week but if they don't last as expected will update also.*** UPDATE***I have now been using these headphone daily for almost 6 months. They are still as good as new.I have been really impressed with them and they have proved to be really sturdy.A few months ago they fell out the car at the supermarket and we didn’t realise until we got home. Went back to find them and it looked like them had been trodden on as there were some slight cracks on one earbuds - gobsmacked they still worked as new and still do to this day. Great build to withstand whatever tried to crush them.

Great fit and amazing noise reduction to the outside world

Definitely recommend these are great quality and good for the money, they sit better in your ears if you do the “shure” over the ear with the wires but work just as well sitting in your ear normally. My only peeve with these are the ear buds are just a little too big on the medium buds and too small on the small buds but that’s specific to me and my ears so can’t fault it for another user

I purchased these along with a number of other earphones so I could test and compare each of them. Unfortunately these were outdone by a £37 pair of Sony earphones because whilst they do offer a balanced sound, they’re not quite full enough for my liking and they certainly lack bass. The Bluetooth functionality is good, as is the build quality. I like listening to lots of different kinds of music from classical music to reggae; they’d be fine for classical music but when you want some deep bass, they’re not enough. The fit wasn’t perfect either, again compared to others these weren’t as good. I also searched for an app to see if it was possible to control the EQ, however after uncertain results I downloaded Shure Plus Channels but that doesn’t seem to be the right app, as it wasn’t possible to pair with the headphones or make sense of at all... One final point, with the environment in mind, manufacturers need to make their packaging more user friendly for those who like to shop online and try at home. I had to cut the packaging open in order to try the product which I guess means when these are received they’ll need to be re-packaged.

Of all the Shure and other earphones I’ve tried, these have proven to be the best. They are more road worthy than the SE215 and above. The wire and connections in those often gets ruined on the road. Sweat destroys the connections. And other problems constantly appear. But these earphones simply keep going. I’ve switched my entire band to these earphones because they are the best value for money in terms of sound and durability.

Okay, I know £40 isn't expensive in terms of Shure headphones, but I could have spent £10 on a lousy pair of headphones and they'd have lasted more than 6 months. Honestly, these didn't sound exactly incredible out of the box- far too quiet, lack of bass definition- but it seems you're really paying for the brand, not the quality. As of my writing this, I've thrown my pair away- the left earphone only works when tilted to a certain angle, and the sound is tinny and shrunken. Avoid these like the plague.

I use the the earphones whilst riding my motorcycle as earplugs and entertainment.Fits well in the ear, different size buds supplied, and gives excellent dampening to external sounds.The box it came in was rather oversized.

In terms of practicality these earphones are great. A comprehensive set of accessories & case is supplied with the earphones along with simple instructions and maintenance advice.However, functionality wise.... very very average. The noise isolation is virtually non existent to put it bluntly. The sound quality is something that you’d imagine to get with a £10 portable speaker that you can only purchase in an airport on some Greek party island.All in all ok, but nowhere near being worth £99, i wouldn’t expect to pay higher than £50 for these.
