Water Leak Alarm WA03
This sort of product is ideal for domestic use where an undetected water leak would annoy your neighbour in the apartment downstairs, for example where the pumped discharge of a washing machine is hooked via an open standpipe into a drain which might become more restricted over time due to clogging. The WA 03 is very good value at the price, well finished, and seems well thought-out. The product leaflet supplied tells you all you need to know. The on/off switch includes optional alarm tones, slightly different in loudness, and continuous when activated. There is no LED fitted - the device chirps once when first switched on. When the battery is low, the device chirps at intervals. The sensor is rather bulky, so difficult to fit where space is limited. It is supplied with a suction cup - if the sensor is fitted where it cannot be seen, users should consider the effect of this coming unstuck. The alarm unit itself is not waterproof.1 metre of wire between sensor and alarm is enough for most applications, and is permanently connected at both ends. Mounting screws are provided for the alarm unit to be hooked onto, if required.

Pretty much perfect
I’ve been looking for something like this for ages, a reusable water alarm. It’s absolutely brilliant. To check for leaks on the floor simply place the sensor near where the leak may happen, switch on and leave it. If you need to use it for monitoring water levels in baths etc it has a sucker. The alarm is loud. I use it for the rather unusual of monitoring a cat that every now and again chooses to pee in a certain place, not only does it alert me but it’s changed the cats behaviour. I will be ordering more of these. To improve it, well if it hooked into the WiFi so I got an alert on my tablet would be brilliant but I accept that would increase costs. It’s great as it is if you don’t require remote warnings.

Worked for about 6 months
Worked for about 6 months just fine, warning us when the basement toilet flooded each time. However now it won't reset and the alarm just keeps going off when you switch it on rendering it useless.-- UPDATE --Since I had nothing to lose, I cut the sensor of the end of this and just exposed the two wires. This restored functionality, so depending on your needs might also work for others.

Fantastic item - already saved us twice!
Recently moved into an old Victorian house with a cellar that is prone to flooding with groundwater. It is fitted with an automatic sump pump, but I have never completely trusted it and so bought this alarm. Was tempted by a cheaper one, but decided to go for something that looks better made. Within a week, I heard this horrible noise downstairs and it turned out the sump pump had a blockage and the cellar was starting to flood. At this stage it was only a moderate puddle, but would have got far worse. In the following six month or so, I have had the same thing happen. Really happy with this item. Not the cheapest, but compared to a flooded cellar the cost is negligible.

Neat little Water Detector Alarm
This unit is fantastic. After tiling our bathroom and finishing the grouting I made a mistake of dropping a wooden support onto the bath, cracking a hole in it (doh!). I got it repaired with a local Bath Doctor company, but wanted to have a water leak detector in place just in case it is to leak in future. I tested this unit multiple times and it worked every time. Hopefully the battery life is good, I will keep an eye on that and update review if not!

Doesn't work after only 2 months.
No sound on pictures unfortunately but needless to say, this little chickadee is silent.Have had it for just over a month following some plumbing in the kitchen. Moved to a newly fitted radiator and thought I'd check it again before leaving it. No sound under the tap, no sound when dunked. Does a big ol beep when you turn it on, and I changed the batteries just to be sure. Sensor is bust after only 2 months under the kitchen sink.So now a slightly anxious night's sleep for me before a trip to B&Q to buy a decent brand.Save your money.

Wish I'd bought this one first.
Bought as an level alarm when creating R/O water. The alarm is well built and perfect for the job. When switched on it gives a beep to confirm battery and function and has a choice of two sounds.I've owned and used this for a while now and it's never let me down, unlike the cheaper rubbish i had before.Wish I'd bought this one first!
