Does the job
I have used these brushes for cutting in whilst renovating my house and they are fabulous! Wouldn’t want to use anything else now.

Does size matter?
While slim in girth, this has a long shank. But does size matter or is it what you can do with it?The angled brush is a revelation. I've used small brushes, sash brushes, wide brushes with care, but never an angled one. it's a accurate and quick. Cutting in on glazing bars was easy and fast. Lines lapping glass small and neat. But I used it more broadly to tip off after rollers. Good.To paint into awkward areas. Good.Generally held paint well. Distributed well. Broadly low on drips. Was used with an oil based eggshell with owatrol. Left few brush marks.I can see this being a staple. Which given it is a few quid more than no nonsense cheapos or a bit more than the better brushes in the likes of wickes, it's still worth it. Makes me wonder if Wooster silver tips or alphas etc. Would be even better. As for the long handle, it makes a difference. It gives you the option of greater reach when you need it.So yes size does matter and gives you so much more to go at when you use it, particularly with the angle tip.Probably would now try wider versions to give me a bit more paint hold when cutting in.Wish I'd got this much earlier.

Amazing brush, no hairloss at all
I purchased this to achieve some precision when painting door frames and skirting around the house. The brush is very good quality, soft but firm enough and it's very easy to paint a neat straight edge, for example between skirting and wall with no mess. It has retained it shape well after I painted most skirting boards, door frames, a a door and a large banister with it. But most importantly, it hasn't lost a single hair! I find loose hairs infuriating and have binned many brushes in the past because of this. This one is amazing and I am about to see if they do different shapes/sizes as I would definitely purchase more. Highly recommended durable no loss brush!

My favourite paint brush!
Well I guess I must be getting old if I'm reviewing a paint brush! What next, a pair of slippers!?I wouldn't normally comment on such a prosaic item, but having been through a plethora of different brushes when I took a week off work to completely redecorate my girlfriend's property ready for sale, this one stood out above all of the others. It's not just that the slightly angled head seems to make the process of "cutting-in" so much easier, it's the simple design, balanced feel, and superb quality of this brush that I really liked. It performed much better than more expensive "premium" brushes. And despite getting a tremendous amount of use, both during and since the aforementioned redecoration, it hasn't shed a single bristle. If you've got a decorating task that requires you to paint neat edges, this is a really useful addition to your kit. My only suggestion from experience of using this particular size (1.5 inch) would be that if you are cutting-in a wall ready for the roller, one the slightly larger brush heads might be even better.

Best brush I've ever owned!
By far the best brush I've ever purchased. I was painting a wall with several different colours and bought this brush to make all the cutting in I was doing a little easier. It did that and more - it was such an easy brush to work with and the bristles held up so well that I chose to keep washing and reusing this brush between colours rather than using any of my other ones. The bristles have held up really well despite many washes and uses now - they haven't freyed at all and none of them have shed either.

The best cutting in brush out there
This is the second Axus cutting in brushes I have bought. I have bought others, but they aren’t as good. I tend to decorate my own house and do get friends comment on a neat job; it’s all down to this brush!
