Ad TecMen's 1428 Lasting Work Shoes, Lug Sole

These boots look great and are easy to break in. After only a few hours in them my feet felt great and they had adjusted to my feet. I have a very wide foot so i got the 12 wide and they are PERFECT! I bought these to go to the bar they work great with my leather and have the look and feel of a much more expensive boot.

Quality made and fit well

This boot is not for someone working heavy construction or a similar job. It will however last a long time for occasional use or light every day use.

I've purchased these boots before a few times because usually, they hold up very well to the demands of the environment I put them into. Lots of bending, walking, climbing on and off trucks etc, I can get about 1-2 years out of them before they are completely worn out on the sole, replacing the laces multiple times throughout the life. However, this time around they didn't make it a month before the sole cracked and began separating on the right foot and the laces already frayyed to the point I'm afraid of tying too tightly after a weeks wearing. Now to explain, I haven't gotten them wet, or exposed to chemicals, heat etc. Just worn 8-12hrs a day and alot of walking and climbing. The soles hardly show any wear at all but the heel on the right boot separated already. Really bummed because they look great, normally last and function beyond expected means and clean up well. Currently switched back to the pair they replaced that were worn out but still useable for the time being until I source a new pair.

Have had them for a few months now, were comfortable right out the box and seem to be holding up well.

I’ve had many of this exact pair of boots because I love how they feel, how they function, and how they look but, they’re cheap. The materials on these boots wear out well within a year if you’re actively using them for work. The sole goes out first and then the stitching behind the ankle blows out, this has happened on the last 5 pair like clockwork. I usually only buy a pair per year so to me it’s not a huge waste of money. I always get a different insole and usually put something on the outside of the toe to keep that intact. These are also terrible for wintertime use as they’re steel toe and not waterproof so know your intent before buying. Overall I appreciate the boots and will probably keep buying them in the future.

I couldn’t find black work boots locally. Ordered these for a good low price and they were impressive. The best thing about them is they were comfortable from day one, no break in pain at all. They seem true to size as well not big or small like some brands tend to run. I’m completely satisfied.

Simple, nice, decent boot. It works. I m on 2nd pair after 2 years on another after 3. These boots R OK.

Pros-Real leather boots that look like they are made very well and are comfortable for the money.There is no better deal around.The ones at WM in this price range are synthetic uppers.A nice thick knarly looking treaded soul thats oil resistant and sown on.American size is spot on to other brands.Riveted in corners.Strong new leather smell.Cons- not insulated, so that will suck for the cold weather coming up.Heavy.Now we will see how they wear.But so far I am very happy with these boots and are breaking in nice.Just a great value for the money, and they are a very good looking boot which also would make a great motorcycle boot.
