Q: How well would it fit someone who is 5ft 9?

I am exactly 6'; pretty slim - 168lb (that's 12st to normal folk). The costume fits me perfectly - it's not tight and it's the right length. The smaller of the 2 sizes (Men 42") certainly isn't going to be too small for you in the length.If you get the costume (which is QUALITY, by the way - I'm going to wear mine when I go to see the movie on Wednesday) make sure you get the Backpack / Weapons accessory as well:Search for "MARVEL ~ Deadpool Weapon Kit - Adult Accessory".ENJOY!!

Couldn't tell you the exact size but I'm 6'1" and fairly big built (usually xxl in tops) and it fits me well

I'm 5'10" and the height is grand. I'm a 40-42 cheat and this is fine. It velcros at the back so you might be able to pull it tighter with poppers or more velcro, but it will be baggy out of the box I would think
