Its good, works well.
This is more expensive than the others available. I bought a cheaper one initially for around 3GBP. I had to get a refund for that though because it only worked intermittently. This Skytronic switch has worked perfectly from the get go.Note: Internally one side is a narrower fit than the other. I don't know if that's normal or not with these kind of switches but one side you'll have less space to work with when wiring it up. Im not gonna knock a star off it for this because its still a decent sturdy product but it's worth noting.

A tad fiddly
This in-line switch is reasonably well made and will do a good job. However, the internal space is limited and ensuring a safe installation is fiddly and time consuming. While it is designed to be used with 2 and 3-core mains flex ensure that the cord used is not too thick.Using a cable stripping tool makes life easier (and safer) but with patience, a sharp knife or Stanley blade can be used. For added safety, ensure the cable ties at either end are securely fastened over the mains lead outer insulation. Once done, you're set to go.A very reasonable price when compared with high street stores was much appreciated.

Pretty much as good as they come. A bit restricted inside.
A solid slightly chunky quality switch. Switches both Live and Neutral and even caters for Earth if you're using one. Despite the chunkiness it's a little tight in there, and bizarrely one end is even more restricted than the other. The cable clamps are decent, deeply ridged so that although the outer insulation is unlikely to protrude much inside, it should be frirmly gripped as long as it's properly in the clamp. With care and patience it is possible to wire it up nicely, although I only had 2 cores to deal with.It might have dropped a star if I'd had to get an Earth in there. The Earth connections are different from the others and may require crimped rings to attach properly. That would be inconvenient but since I didn't have an Earth it would be mean to mark it down. Catering for Earth at all is a bonus compared with many cheap switches.

Well engineered and great value
A substantial and rugged switch. A little tricky to wire up but once you've done that it works well. Good solid feel.

Don't cut you fingernails and have some white spirit to hand ;-)
This is a solid rocker switch that reminds me of switches I used decades ago, solid and reliable. It would've got 5 stars except for the various labels stuck onto it. One to tell me not to dispose of in a bin(?!), a quality control label and one to tell me how to wire it (again ?! if you are buying this you are likely to know how to do this). The latter was the most difficult to remove, (thus the finger nail and white spirit), and stuck the two halves of the switch together, took me almost as long to clean it up as to wire it. Other than that, I'd recommend it over some of the cheaper switches out there/

Well made and safe
This switch is well made with a very positive snap action. The plastic seems very strong and would withstand substantial knocks without damage.I went for this switch as it has an Earth wire pass-through. Many of the other similar looking switches do not have this, rendering them dangerous to use on metal lamps. It is a bit fiddly to get the wires into the terminal holes but take your time and undo the screws almost all the way and it can be done.

A good solid switch
For the price you can't complain really - This switch is well built with a good solid action and decent quality brass connectors. The Earth connection is a bit of a squeeze, but otherwise easy to wire up.This would have been a 5 star review except for the stickers on the switch - 4 of them! all stuck to the side (one being the wiring diagram). It took me longer to remove these and clean off the glue gunk than it did to wire the switch!Anyway - Recommended - But make sure you have some glue remover.

Chunky!
This switch works perfectly and gets the job done, despite being chunkier than I'd imagined. It feels sturdy, and built to last. As a previous reviewer said, connecting it up can be fiddly as some of the terminals can be tricky to get to - I unscrewed them completely and removed so I could seat the cable correctly. All in, very good for the money and replaced a broken switch on the wife's bedside lamp. When I spotted it was faulty (when plugging a timer into the lamp to use as a security light during our holidays), she said "it's been like that for months"!! On the plus side, she has life insurance.... :-)
