LogitechK380 Keyboard, QWERTY UK Layout - Black

I'd heard great things about this keyboard, so when working from home became much more common I set out to track one down. I eventually got lucky with a black/grey version in Amazon Warehouse during a Prime Day sale. The keyboard itself is similar in size to something like the Apple Magic Keyboard in that it is compact and doesn't have the numpad or page up/down, insert/break etc keys. The keys are rounded and very easy to type on with the keyboard being thicker at the top than the bottom edge creating a comfortable angle for your wrists.Tthe keyboard is truly multidevice as not only can you connect to three different devices via Bluetooth and switch between them with the press of a dedicated button (the 3 yellow buttons on the top row), but the keys are marked / labelled with both Windows and Mac layouts so it is easy to use in both Microsoft and Apple environments although to be honest I've been using both ecosystems for so many years that I didn't need to look. The function keys act as hot keys by default with a function button to achieve the basic F1-F10 actions. These hot keys include switching Bluetooth device, navigation (home, task switcher, back), media (skip, play/pause) and volume control (up, down, mute).In practice I use this with my Windows work laptop, personal Macbook Air and my iPad on occasion. In 18 months (of regular 3 days per week use) I have not needed to change the batteries so battery life is good. All my usage is typing so I can't comment on how this would perform for gaming.If you need a keyboard for multiple devices and can live without the numpad, this is a great (and reasonably priced) keyboard to consider.

Main positives:+ Good typing experience+ On/Off toggle which prevents accidental typing when keyboard is carried in a bag and extends battery life.+ Able to connect to switch between 3 bluetooth devices.Room for improvement:- Could be more robust- Would be nice to be able to save more than 3 bluetooth devices at once.I first tried one of these years ago in a shop and was unconvinced by the typing experience (mainly because I was put off by the round keys), however since then this keyboard has been available at a very competitive price and I ended up buying one when I needed a cheap bluetooth keyboard quickly.In use, I discovered that my initial concerns where unfounded, this device is excellent and you can easily and comfortably type efficiently.Being able to switch between 3 bluetooth devices is an excellent feature.The keyboard is quite thick and the plastic does feel fairly fragile. I've been carrying the keyboard around in a satchel so that I can type quickly on my phone while out and about, I'm not sure how long the keyboard will last for this purpose, but so far so good.The keyboard is powered by AAA batteries which is great because unlike a rechargeable keyboard these last a long time and are easily and quickly replaced even when out and about if you do run out of power. Also, note that there is a very good on/off toggle switch which is difficult to inadvertently trigger meaning that you will not accidentally type on your device when carrying it and you will preserve the battery life.I have mentioned that the keyboard can save 3 bluetooth devices at once to switch between, and this is excellent. I do wonder however why these keyboards are not designed to connect to even more devices, presumably the amount of memory it takes to store a device pairing is minimal and does not limit this? Instead of 3 buttons, there could be a 'device switch' key you could hold down with a number key, this would allow 10 devices and would presumably only require minimal changes to the device circuitry and software? If anyone at Logitech is reading this, you would make me very happy to consider this!

Really handy being able to pair it with three devices, and switch instantly using buttons. It’s a good size, works great with iPad Pro.

I've gone through several Apple keyboards until they develop problems and need to be replaced. For the price differential this seems an attractive alternative and lives up to most of its promise. There are potential improvements; but as a multi-device keyboard that works reliably it seems a good buy. ALthough I find the keys fine for normal typing; but if I'm typing quickly I do find, as another reviewer mentioned, that it easier to miss the key than with the square ones (which have a slightly bigger surfac area).Switching between devices is fairly fast and seamless (though check preferences if you get stuck reconnecting to the Mac).There are some limitations to be aware of if comparing to a high-end keyboard, but being Logitech there's not much to complain about. Most of the shortcomings relate to Mac use, though Logitech have gone to some lengths to reach out to Mac users.Firstly the build. It is not silent, not "touch" like the Apple keyboards, but that means it's also less suceptible to the acknowledged Apple problem of dust getting under the buttons. It feels solid, slightly heavier than an Apple compact, and given that keyboards don't use up batteries that fast I personally prefer to change batteries (as on this one) than stop to plug them in to recharge. The round keys will not be to everyone's liking but I haven't found them a problem.A big reservation can be the adaptation to cater both to Windows and Mac. Given that it is multi-device, this should be very useful: certain keys have dual function, with the Mac function greyed next to the Windows function on the same key. But the greyed function is not highly visible and one simply has to get used to it (keys for alt, cmd, as well as shift-option keys that end up having up to four functions. These include various symbols but also the @ " and backslash, all laid out as per Apple but in feint gray.) Of course this is NOT a problem if you are solely a touch typist! There are no brightness or eject keys and one or two of the function keys are Windows-only, and fn and ctr are reversed on the layout.Finally there is no indicator light on the caps-lock function, so one must try to avoid hitting it accidentally. The size of the whole keyboard is roughly that of the Apple mini, but the round keys seem slightly closer together, especially if you have wide fingers.I thought it necessary to highlit 'shortcomings' in case any of them are a dealbreaker for other potential buyers, but overall would still recommend it. Die Tastatur lässt sich einfach mit einem IPad verbinden. Damit ist das Schreiben deutlich angenehmer. Einzigster Kritikpunkt ist für mich, dass manche Zeichen wie z. B. der Slash nicht an der angegebenen Position sind. Das irritiert einen und stört, wenn man einen Text schreibt.

Malgré mon erreur car je voulais un Azerty j'ai su m'adapté à ce clavier qui me sert avec mon iPad mais aussi mon Mac(+) Une configuration avec le Mac et l'iPad rapide

Attenzione: la tastiera ha il layout in inglese (UK)!!La descrizione del prodotto è già molto specifica ma ci tengo a ribadirlo. Ciò nonostante, la tastiera è perfetta, basta ricordarsi quali tasti corrispondono a quelli del layout italiano (vi assicuro che diventa automatico). Per me non è un grande problema anche perché la uso per scrivere quasi esclusivamente in inglese. Per quanto mi riguarda, tralasciando questo, è stato un acquisto perfetto da abbinare al mio iPad. È una tastiera robusta e di qualità, che si trasporta facilmente va benissimo sia come tastiera da scrivania che in mobilità. La possibilità di switchare da un dispositivo all'altro è molto comoda se come me lavorate su più dispositivi contemporaneamente. È curata in ogni minimo dettaglio, appagante esteticamente (amo i colori e il fatto che i tasti siano rotondi) e funzionale: scrivo anche per lunghi periodi senza stancarmi, la trovo molto comoda e i tasti sono sufficientemente distanziati. La dimensione della tastiera non è eccessiva, secondo me è una perfetta via di mezzo per chi cerca una tastiera bluetooth da scrivania e una da portare nello zaino. Io ho semplicemente acquistato un pouch in cui mettere iPad e tastiera e posso trasportarli tranquillamente ovunque, senza dover rinunciare alla comodità di una tastiera che non mi stanchi se digito a lungo e con la possibilità di switchare.

La mejor opción para Macbook pro sin tener que pagar el precio completo de un producto de Apple. Es silencioso, las teclas ergonómicas y suaves. El tamaño es ideal, se puede transportar. Se conecta fácil y rápidamente. El 95% de las teclas coinciden con el teclado del portátil, yo tengo teclado en inglés americano y coincide con el teclado UK que compré. Solo hay un par de teclas que no coinciden pero la verdad es que por todas las ventajas que tiene este producto no importa que no sea 100%. Estoy muy contenta, ya se lo recomendé a mi esposo para que lo compre también.

Used for a week. Great keyboard, very portable. The bluetooth connectivity is super easy to set-up (just hold one of the yellow keys down) and super-handy. The keyboard goes into sleep mode if not used but takes just a second to get out of it once you need to use it. Of course, if you have larger hands, this may not be for you as it is quite compact.
