Excellent, every home should have one.
This is good. Easy to assemble (minutes) and put up, does what it says on the tin, no trouble at all. Good value too. Some reviewers said the fixings supplied are insubstantial and the company upgraded these. Those supplied with mine are perfectly up to the job, the screws (10mm bolt head) are straight into some braced softwood, no plugs, indoors. I weigh just over 70Kgs and I do daily pull ups, nothing fancy and it isn't going to move. There's plenty of room if you keep your body straight and avoid bringing your knees up (as you should). If you're bigger and heavier and you want to swing around, you'll need to pay attention to what you fix into. In that sort of case, some said they'd used anchor bolts into masonry and I'd do the same. The advice to measure and make sure that you fix into the centre of bricks is good. I wouldn't put this onto breeze blocks or a stud wall. It looks decently weatherproofed for outdoors but you could always put a dab of Hammerite metal paint on the bolts and screws to make sure.In use? It's painful but you get the benefits very quickly without absolutely killing yourself. You don't need to do hours of it unless you're looking for the body-beautiful. If you just want to raise your heart rate a few times a day, you soon notice it.

Brilliant chin up bar!
Love love love this. My wife bought it for me as a surprise and it's absolutely brilliant. Fantastic value, comes with clear instructions - took me about 25 mins to put up. Just make sure you have a decent hammer drill with 8mm masonry bit. Other people mentioned the fixings were poor - the company have altered these and they are now very strong bolts with decent plugs. The bar is fantastic and does the job well. Can't believe it is such good value for money. Offers excellent clearance from the wall and feels very sturdy.

Good, could be very good.
While I agree with some of the other reviews on this item that commented on the lack of lateral stability, I would like to add the following; The brackets supplied are wider than the bars they carry, I believe this was done so that there is a bit of leeway to mount the 4 individual brackets on the wall and not get them exactly straight or in line. I resolved the resulting free play by replacing the Philips head screw and nut combination supplied with a standard M6 nut and bolt. This enables you to put much more torque on and consequently eliminate lateral movement.I have taken a star off as this would be a known issue to the supplier who should either provide spacers/washers to take up the slack or make the brackets narrower. The wall fixing bolts are excellent, I have mine in hard brick and they are going nowhere. I weigh 17 stone and there is no movement in the bar when in use. In my opinion the bar is good value for money if you are prepared to do some minor adjustments yourself.

Good outdoor chin up and pull up bar
For the price this outdoor chin up bar is a great buy.Fixing was pretty pain free, so don't worry if you're not particularly good at DIY as the brackets that hold it to the wall have a generous amount of leeway - they're wider than the rods they hold, so when you tighten up the bolts the bracket mounts are bent inwards by the force and thus clamp the rods in place. This means that the brackets don't have to be fixed exactly vertically as they can be up to approx 1cm out of position and the rods will still fit. Just remember to drill the holes deep enough and into brick not mortar. The bars themselves protrude about 2 feet from the wall, so if you bring your knees up too high you'll be scraping them against the wall. THIS IS ACTUALLY A GOOD THING - you're supposed to be keeping your body as straight as you can when you perform chin ups and pull ups, not bringing your knees right up and swinging from the bars like a chimp, a common mistake lots of people make. So in that respect these bars will force you to do chin ups and pull ups properly! There are no grips on the bar, but the easiest solution to this is to buy a pair of gym gloves - less than a tenner and problem solved. Result.Lastly, if you're out of practice then download a chin up training app from somewhere and use it to gradually build up your reps, much more useful than struggling to do a handful of reps and giving up.

Great bar - great distance from wall
Great product and gives you plenty of distance away from the wall which is what I wanted. Not too hard to fit but you do need a good masonry drill and drill bit to make it easier to fit otherwise it was hard drilling. Measure twice is the golden rule when setting out the marks for drilling as I found out to my detriment. Once up it looks great and is very sturdy. I would recommend this product. My bar looks exactly like the picture displayed.

I'm a DIY doofus and this took me about half an hour to put up. Measure twice but it's not that complex, at all.Once up it seems solid , I'm only 12 stone but there's no give or sense of flimsiness. You also get a good clearance from the wall so no scraping of the knees. Facing away from the wall you can do knee or leg raises.I've a suspension trainer and a set of rock rings that I've tried on it with no issues. The one thing this may not be good for is "archer" pull ups. I'm not sure it would hold up to the uneven pressure for long.Overall for the money I'm really pleased especially as I was thinking of getting a more expensive bar that would have just done the same job.Wish I'd bought this a while back.

Easy installation & sturdy
Pull up bar is great. Really easy to assemble and to install. However I would recommend the manufacturer supplies anchor bolts instead of the current fixings. These will provide a more secure fitting to the wall. However I installed mine with the supplied fixings and it is very sturdy. Holds my weight easily and I am 100kg
