Great product, just not as great for my own personal use.
I am giving this product 5 stars for the simple reason that it is exactly what it states to be, the quality is good and the price is good. However, if I were to review this product on a personal level, I would give it 4. I find pure erythritol to be of barely noticeable sweetness, which in fairness is what is to be expected of it if you have done your research on sweeteners. This is fine, but it means quite large amounts of it are needed for sweetening. This is fine in itself since erythritol is supposed be the least problematic of sweeteners when used in large quantities, unlike others such as xylitol etc. However, a) this uses a lot of product and b) it's quite hard to get the sweetness right. You find yourself thinking you surely must have put in enough, only to taste the outcome and find it's still not sweet enough. Some other sweeteners are a mix of erythritol and oligosaccharides which make the product sweeter, and thus you need less of it. This is all down to personal preference, of course, but having tried both pure erythritol and the mix, I have found that I prefer the mix simply for ease of use. I believe Candarel was the mix brand I tried, although I am unsure if it is available in England.

Tastes Exactly Like Sugar
I bought this product as am currently on a Keto diet and many of the recipes I have found required certain sweeteners.I found this one at a good price for a kilo so decided to give it a try.It is very good, tastes exactly like sugar. I was expecting some kind of bitter aftertaste but there is none. I have made fudge, cookies and cheesecake since buying. My husband can not tolerate sweetener and refuses point blank to take it in his tea which drives me mental since he takes three or four sugars. When I made the fudge and eventually got him to taste it, he couldn’t believe it, said it was exactly like proper fudge. Whatever proper fudge is :)I would heartily recommend this to anyone on special diets looking for a sweetener. I received the item very quickly and also bought the powder version. Both are terrific.

it's good
I have tried every sweetener there is I'm sure, and this is the only one that has no disgusting after taste. True it is not as sweet as sugar and if you keep adding to your tea/coffee it taste quite bitter. Still best of the bunch I think.

Perfect for anyone doing a low carb or keto diet
As I'm getting more and more into keto baking, the ability to have the right sweetener on hand makes the difference between successfully staying on the wagon and abysmally falling off. This sweetner is perfect for any keto recipes and maybe it's because I'm settling into life without refined sugar but I actually find that I need to use a good 5-15% less sugar in standard recipes (the first week I was on keto I was happily sprinkling some extra sugar as I desperately needed my fix). Most recipes call for 2 tablespoons or 40g of Erythritol so this 500g bag should last you a good while.I'm down to the last 100g now but will definitely be reordering again.

Best substitute....
Great value for your money, however you do feel kinda bad about the amount of plastic waste left over from it. I’ve used erythritol for my tea/coffee for some time now, but recently I decided to stop as I noticed my body just didn’t like using it too much. Over the past two years I have gained weight and had bouts of bloating. I ran out of erythritol and after two months of not using it noticed my bloating and weight considerably reduce. My mood stabilised, I had more energy and just all round felt better physically. I’ve not used it since. I have in fact returned to using honey and sugar in very small quantities and drinking plenty of water. I don’t know if I will use erythritol again any time soon....maybe in the distant future I might. But I think my body may do the same thing again.

Opening the packet reveals something that looks exactly like granulated sugar
This the first time I've ever tried erythritol, so I don't have any basis for comparison with other brands.Opening the packet reveals something that looks exactly like granulated sugar, and a dipped finger reveals it is sweet and with a slightly cool aftertaste as some have mentioned. The coolness is not a big problem for me as I've been stirring it into plain yoghurt, so it's a cold food anyway. In baked products - I've made individual cakes and some biscuits - it's a little different, but nothing that would stop me using it. For the biscuits, I added some stevia so that I could reduce the amount of erythritol - win/win as there was no bitterness from the stevia and the coolness from the erythritol was virtually undetectable. I learned this from the cake experience though! It's very odd to eat a cake that makes your tongue cold, so do play around with quantities and combining with other alternatives. As a warning, if you are heating/reheating anything with erythritol in, keep an eye on it as I found that it caught in the microwave. All in all, I would say don't expect to use this exactly like you would use regular sugar and do be prepared to experiment, especially if you want to avoid the cool aftertaste. I am more than happy to experiment to help reduce my carb/sugar intake, so this ticks all the boxes for me.

Excellent quality, item as described.
This brand has some very good stuff. I bought a different brand of this sugar substitute before and it was not sweat at all. Then I saw this brand, from which I had bough the best whey protein powder and I ordered it. So far I would say it is the best Erythritol I have used. Highly recommend
