Light weight works better than expected
We purchased this about 8 months ago for our shihpoo, she is about 14 lbs. It is not too big, and all functions work very well. We found the beep and the vibrate was all we needed. We like the fact the shock has bright orange buttons. We keep the silicone caps on the shock tips. I wish they would add a switch to turn it off so we could not accidentally shock them. We purchased a second unit. The second is for our second puppy. It would also be nice if they would offer colored cases so we could tell the difference. Little large for the small dog, but she will grow into it. Does not bother her at all. We call them their jewelry and the love to have them put on.

Great product
So I have had this item for months now. It was bought to train a golden as he didnt like to listen. Though we give this a try. So it only took a couple days for our dog to get the idea. If he doesnt listen when being called to. Like he would go play but not want to come back in or may try to take off. I would beep and if he didnt come I would the use the vibrate. He would come like 95% of the time. Never had to use the shock. I love this product for the easy set up and rechargeable. It how's it charge for days..if you dont use it much you can go like a week or so once your dog doesnt really need the reenforcement. Worth the buy.

Very nice product but with design flaws
Overall everything works great as advertised. Nothing is actually wrong with the product and it does work wonderful, but it has design flaws when it comes to the remote control. Look at the remote control and imagine holding that in your hand with your thumb on or above the beep or the vibrate buttons... see how your thumb can easily ACCIDENTALLY push the SHOCK button? The shock button should be above the beep and vibrate buttons. Not only that but the buttons on the remote control stick up above the plastic surface which allows the buttons to ACCIDENTALLY be pushed by a flat surface like setting it down on the table or pushed up against a cell phone in your pocket. But other than the remote being designed with no thought at all everything else is top notch and works great. The battery life is amazing.

Worked great!
This shock collar really helped us out!! Our dog was constantly escaping our yard and we needed help! We saw this product and decided that we needed to try it out. We got it and put it on our dog. It got great and looked slick. Wasn’t super bulky and looked like a regular collar. We put him outside and we honestly never really had to shock him after he tried to escape a couple of times. We shocked him to begin with but as we started training him more, all we had to do was push the vibrate button and that would cause him to not want to leave. We would also press the sound button and that would work too. The sound was loud enough to scare him back into the yard and not want to leave. This product was definitely worth the price we paid and would recommend it to anyone and would buy it again!

Dependable, but poor controls and ergonomics
The good:1) Vibration, beep, and shock (which I've hardly ever used) all work very well. Vibration alone is very adequate to get a message to my dog to obey or 'listen up' and it's by far the signal I use the most.2) There's lots of adjustability: vibration pitch (low, medium, high vibe frequency), shock strength adjustable 0-100, and additionally there's a Hi/Lo shock rocker switch for immediate triggering.3) You can lock-out the remote control buttons from accidental trigger via a slide switch on the side of the unit, a great feature to safeguard against inadvertent shocks or false buzzes and beeps.4) The range (distance radio signal effectively transmits) appears to be very good; it's never been a problem and in my experience it hasn't been exceeded.5) Reliability had been excellent, works every time without fail so far (had it for year+).6) Lighted icons and display info is excellent, no problem viewing in bright daylight.7) Collar band holds adjustment well, sturdy, appears to be comfortable as can be expected for dog.8) Battery life is absolutely great! Low battery has never occurred, even after weeks without charging. The bad:1) Remote design and execution is a total MESS. Buttons and switches are NOT at all well though out, they're counter-intuitive to use, confusing, awkward, clumsy, poorly designed and thoughtlessly placed. This was and is still the case even after months and months of ownership, learning and familiarity.2) It's entirely difficult to simply slide the lock-out (On/Off) switch, which is located along the left edge of the remote (this switch locks-out all of the buttons to safeguard against inadvertent shocks/buzzes/beeps, and you will have to use it frequently) and it takes a LOT of thumb force just to slide it back and forth On/Off.3) 'On' / 'Off' positions for the lock-out switch are opposite of what they should be. It's been designed with 'Down or Backward' for 'On' and 'Up or forward' for 'Off', exactly backwards from all other controllers in the world, and just the reverse of what you'd expect! Who does this?!4) When you try to slide the lock-out switch (again, it's HARD to do), there's no effective way to grasp the remote in order to apply sufficient thumb pressure to get it to move. The switch is very low-profile, which makes it hard to get your thumb to grip it (should protrude maybe 1/4" high or so, but only rises 1/16" or less). Because the switch demands a very firm grasp when thumb-sliding, and you're forced to squeeze the remote itself firmly, it's extremely difficult NOT to trigger the 3 buttons along the opposite edge of the remote. or buttons on the face, almost impossible at times. This accidentally causes the shock level and vibration level adjustments to change without intention. You'll find yourself constantly re-adjusting these levels.5) All buttons have little-to-no height or depth profile, and it's difficult to use a tactile 'feel' to identity or locate them in practice. The 'Dog #' button along the left edge is practically flush with the remote surface, and it's super easy to accidentally press it, which changes the receiver/collar number (dog#s 1 thru 4, if you're using the remote for multiple dogs, which I am not) and this completely de-activates the collar/receiver, leaving the control totally unresponsive.6) All button are impossible to feel or locate with any kind of glove on (difficult to use in winter or cold).7) The remote is smooth plastic, with no practical texture or grip-ability, it's slippery to handle, not at all contoured and has zero finger/hand grasp features. If your hand or fingers are at all wet or sweaty, forget working the remote one-handed, you must use both hands.8) If you need to use the 'Shock' feature (which I do not), there's a big long-oval shaped hi/low rocker switch used for triggering. This rocker switch is placed diagonally across the front face of the remote (where it can very easily be triggered accidentally, e.g. if the remote is in your pocket, or if you hold/squeeze the remote in your hand casually). You MUST be mindful at all times of this safety problem. Also, the 'Low' shock trigger is positioned at the upper-right tip of the switch, and the 'Hi' shock is positioned at the lower-left tip of the switch. This is precisely OPPOSITE of what you'd expect, and just the reverse of how the rest of the world does things, and backwards of how it should have been designed. For about every controller out there 'Hi' is up and/or at the top and/or to the right, 'Low' is down and/or at the bottom and/or to the left. Again, who DOES this?!Bottom line:This is a dependable, reliable training collar set with lots of great features and adjustments, excellent battery life, a nice light-weight compact collar/receiver, excellent signal range, and nicely lighted user interface icons and display. If the designers (or absence thereof) would have paid more attention to simple user operation and ergos of the remote, it could have been a great system. For the price, it's quite good. But it's quite difficult and frustrating to use.

Buen producto
Parece de muy buena calidad. Me gustó.
