As a suffer of anxiety, I've tried many brands of 5-HTP with mixed success -- none have been anywhere where near as efficacious as Hello Pure! The mood lift is essentially instant, but also enduring. I take 300mg first thing in the morning and for the rest of the day and evening I'm far happier, relaxed and mindful. Presumably it's how and where they source the raw ingredient (or maybe something else they do, I don't know) but these really do the job in a way I thought 5-HTP couldn't. Furthermore other some brands (I don't think it's fair to mentioned them as these could be just my body's reaction ) gave me a bad stomach, bad heartburn and a strange tangy but floral taste in the mouth that wouldn't go away - I got none of these using HelloPure. I'm sticking with this brand and I really recommend them.

Ok, I've been taking these for about 3 weeks now, and I wanted to see how I get on before writing a review.First of all, speedy dispatch and arrived quickly. Bottle as in photo, capsules easy enough to swallow.My reasons for I wanting to try these were general anxiety, panic attacks , feeling on edge and unhappy with a certain situation I'm in ,prolonged stressy period of time and bad PMS every month.I've been taking 1 capsule a day alongside some other supplements I usually take (probiotic, vit D, turmeric, and mushroom complex). No side effects at all.First week I noticed I slept better, deeper - even though sleep was not my issue, but I felt more rested in the mornings and I dreamt every single night which was interesting. Usually I wake up all achy and beat up, but now I feel more fresh if that makes any sense.Second week I noticed my anxiety levels going down, now..I don't know if this is because I was just being a bit more mindful and working on being calmer, but all I know is that by week 3 I started noticing days of 'happiness', feeling content, worrying less, just generally feelings I struggled to achieve for months. I feel more relaxed, less irritable, definitely less anxious. And praise the LORD!- NO PMS this month ! So I don't know if its a coincidence, but every month about a week before my period I generally wanna kill people, clean obsessively, I cant stand my partner & kids, have crazy mood swings from rage to tearing up about stupidest crap ( A lot of women can relate! lol) And this month -ZILCH! NADA! NOTHING. No usual week of crankiness, bloat and sore boobs - I felt calm, chilled, loving towards my man, he even noticed I didn't want to 'kill him' this month so he's happy too haha.So, I'll continue taking one a day see if it continues , hopefully it will- but so far, I'm very happy with them . RECOMMEND

To clear up the confusion, 1 capsule contains:· 50mg - 5-HTP· 400mg - Griffonia Seed extract*· 1.4mg - Vitamin B6*EACH capsule contains 400mg of Griffonia Seed extract, with a ratio of 8:1 to 5-HTP, therefore each capsule contains 50mg of 5-HTP. This is indeed double the quantity of ingredients than most competitors, which have 200mg of Griffonia and 25mg of 5-HTP per capsule.5-HTP has demonstrated its ability to increase the production of serotonin (the 'happy hormone') in countless studies. Because of this, 5-HTP can aid those suffering from sleep disorders like insomnia, can lessen symptoms of depression and anxiety at doses from 150-300mg daily, as well as relieve migraine and tension-type headaches.I have been taking 3 capsules each day for the past week (150mg 5-HTP; 1 in the morning, 2 roughly an hour before bed). I have noticed that I am sleeping more soundly (suffer from insomnia and I'm an extremely light sleeper), and when combined with the increased and more stable serotonin levels that 5-HTP grants, this is resulting in less fatigue and better mood regulation overall.

The item description is entirely false. It reads ultra high strength 5-HTP, however, contains a mere 50mg, which is the minimum I’ve ever encountered, anywhere. 400mg refers to the the amount of dry seed extract required to derive 50mg actual 5-HTP, though this measure is not said to be standardised either, ie. it could be a whole lot less. 5-HTP has been documented to show efficacy, and its multifactorial benefits are widely recognised in biochemistry, endocrinology, neurology, psychiatry etc. Although said to be 50mg in fine print, this is not often a dose many people benefit from anyway, hence the appeal of higher concentrations of the actual amino acid 5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP). It was further to three restless nights of not sleeping that had I felt so inclined to read the stats and was kind of disgusted. I’ve never seen it marketed this way and it’s not the least expensive either. Whatever is claimed to be in these caps isn’t standardised to any baseline figure. It wasn’t so much that I’d lost sleep, it was because, the way this product is marketed is no mistake. 400mg of 5-HTP is exactly what they want you to think. Thoroughly unscrupulous and immoral. I’ve ordered what is actually high potency 200mg pure 5-htp (standardised to clinical baseline) and am waiting for it’s arrival. Until then I shall continue to take four of these 50mg caps at nighttime, before returning what’s left of the pack to Amazon for a full refund. Without referring to specific trade legislation, a refund to the value of this product is the very least someone might pursue, particularly if they depend on a dose of 400mg for whatever reason. What a disgrace.

Excellent product. Has really helped with my anxiety issues, however after 2 months I found that I only need half a capsule daily to keep me stable. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone with similar problems who wants to avoid prescription drugs.
