The foam pieces expanded quickly, some with the cold water method to expand the pieces. No problem there. My issue is that I have yet to find an adhesive method that effectively fixes these into corners of my room. The wall accepts the adhesive of various double-sided tapes (currently using carpet tape), but nothing I have tried sticks to the foam pieces. I want to use non-destructive adhesive materials, not a glue that will distort the finish on my wall in the event I choose to uninstall the foam. Right now I'm just gonna do a review on expanding these things cause some people seem to have issues. Now I cant say for sure, but I have to believe they use anything but the coldest water they could get their hands on. Now, this is not listed as a fact by the company, so if you listen to me blame me, but I I've taken physics before, Im a certified storm/tornado spotter, and my entire job as a respiratory therapist was working on military aircraft and understand how pressure and gas expand (the atmosphere we live in is gas) these are my reason to confidently say, USE COLD WATER. Coldwater is much more dense than warm. its the reasons why tornado, rear flank draft, and down/microbusrts even happen. Its also why hot air balloons float. And how does sound work? by interesting with an atmosphere. cause sound is not equal. It will react differnt in a lower or higher pressure area and the type of gas such as hydrogen vs helium will effect. The reason foam is great for reflections is cause energy has a potential and it will keep going until its expended all its potential energy. hard material reflects sound waves. thats why non-porious surfaces like windows and mirrors studios worst enemy. and despite being soft material, sound will refect off foam. thats the point though. cause unlike a mirror, foam is porious, so refelections will bounce of that hard material, some will return, but a most will bounce around the air pockets inside the foam basically entering, and never leaving. the angular design is the same principle stealth fighter use, what ever does reflect back wont be shot back in the same direction. So now that we know cold is is more dense and foam works on sound cause of air, wouldn't it make more sense to use warm water cause warm air takes up more space? eventually yes, you rather have warm air as its more boyant and takes up more volume. but the colder the water you can put on these things, the fast the rate of diffusion will be. meaning, the air pressure from warming up is what puts the pressure on the interior to make foam expand. the closer to room temperature your water is, the rate of diffusion slows down so less pressure to apply on the interior of foam to excert an outward pressure to make them expand. Put cold water on these thing, call me to thank me later.

They worked just fine and look just as good as the ones I paid more for.NONE of this foam stays up with double sided tape alone . . .use contact cement in each corner before you install them or you'll find them on the floor.

These arrive deflated and flat. Of the twelve bass traps, only 8 of them have returned to full form. It has been over a week. I've soaked the still deflated ones in water to aid the inflation process multiple times, and still they won't grow to a shape that's useful. Luckily, I personally only needed 8 to soundproof my space (so good thing I ordered twelve), but for others, it's a shame to only get two thirds of what you expected to get.

Use cold water to soak it and it will get in a good shape!

My husband needed something for the corners of his studio & these were perfect. Easy to place and they look great

This arrived at my home smash together, so there is poor packaging there... The ones that weren't smashed, aren't the shape as advertised. I can still work with the ones that aren't smashed up and deformed. Next time, be careful with the packaging. I was not happy when it arrived
