Richard Scarry's All the Colors of Busytown (Richard Scarry's Concept Books) Board book – March 1, 2013

From the time my children were young I have enjoyed reading the Richard Scarry books. Now my great-grandchildren are enjoying them, too. I think that the pictures are wonderful and this book is a great teaching tool to use with your children. I love everything about Richard Scarry and hope to share him with my little people for many more years. Hooray for Richard Scarry.

This is such a great book and so fun to read for both child and parent. No matter what time of day.This is a classic book that you HAVE to have for any young child. Fun and captivating for all young children . My 14 year old still knows all the words by heart.

Bright colors and illustrations

My 18 month old granddaughter loves this book!! I would recommend this book to all. I can't wait till she is old enough for Cars, Trucks and Things That Go. My son (my granddaughter's dad) loved that book and we had do much fun finding Goldbug on all the pages.

My child likes the tabs in this book for each color. It makes teaching colors fun with all the neat pictures to look at!

My daughter loves Busytown! She has been a fan of it for some time and now even for her 5th my daughter loves Birthday Party she wants a Busytown Party...the challenge, materials and activities are not the easiest to find! But I digress. This was a great book. I loved all of the different tabs that indicated all of the different colors that the book goes through. Each of the tabs were large and well constructed, making it easy for young hands to manipulate them. I was impressed with how colorful each of the pages were and how easy it made the color to be recognized by the young child themselves. I was also impressed with the imagery within the book. The characters represented were those you know and love within the Busytown series, and my daughter loved paging through the book and reading it to her mother and I. If you are already a fan of the Busytown series, or if you are just looking for a fun color recognition book, this is definitely the book for your family!

"Richard Scarry's All the Colors of Busytown" is a fun board book featuring Huckle the cat and his many friends who have undertaken to help him show examples of things he could paint using nine different colors. The cute illustrations and the color-coded tabs help identify each color which serves as a backdrop on a particular pair of pages. I like that this is a nice sturdy (and easily cleaned) board book although I fear that the tabs themselves could get bent accidentally.
