Dunlop Latex Mattress Topper - Firm - 3" - Queen

NOT FIRM at all. It's at best medium. Hence 4.Though the sticker says firm. I have been waiting to sleep on it .feeling better than sleeping on memory foam. Hence 4.

I prefer a VERY firm mattress. Four years ago, I made the expensive mistake of purchasing a Tuft & Needle mattress. It was uncomfortable within 18 months, and has recently been like sleeping in a bowl of oatmeal: saggy, mushy, no support at all. I woke every morning with pain in my knees and hips. A lot of research led me to the conclusion that my choices were a new $1000 mattress, or the possible fix of using this 3-inch Firm latex topper.HEAVY: Be warned that if you’re older, live alone, and/or have an upstairs bedroom (all three for me!), it would be best to have a second person handy to manhandle that box and get the topper out of it and onto the bed! I managed, but it wasn’t easy!NO ODOR: I noticed no odor whatsoever once the sheets were on the bed. Right out of the box, I could detect a not-unpleasant, honey-like smell.VERY FIRM: At least right out of the box, the topper is super firm--almost too hard, but after that squishy excuse for a mattress, it feels glorious. For the first time in three years, I woke without pain. I intend to turn the topper regularly, and I’m sure it will soften up somewhat as time progresses, but if it softens to even 3/4s its current firmness, it will still be better than that (bad word deleted) Tuft & Needle mattress.SLIGHTLY LARGE: The topper overhangs my Queen-size mattress by about 3/4 inch on the bottom and one side. This makes tucking in the bedclothes a bit of a challenge, but at least my Queen/King quilt no longer hangs down ridiculously low on one side of the bed. Happily, sitting down on the edge of the bed, I no longer experience that “falling off the edge of the earth” feeling!NO COVER: The answer to one 2017 question on this page says that purchases shipped by Amazon come with a cover. I purchased through Amazon, but no cover was included. Since this seems to have changed, I believe that answer should be updated.NEW SHEETS NEEDED: As I had suspected, none of my fitted sheet sets had deep enough pockets to extend over both the topper and the mattress. I purchased some that were guaranteed for mattresses up to 18” tall, and those worked. You should figure new sheets into the price of the topper.In about a year, I plan to edit this review and let potential buyers know if the topper has remained comfortable.

After 8 months you can see the sunken area where I sleep. If I try to roll over I just roll back to the sunken area. I weight 110 pounds so I'm not very heavy. Too late to return. I ordered the firm but it wasn't firm enough to keep from leaving a sunken spot. Not at all happy.

I had back issues from my mattress. Every morning, my back would wrench up so I bought this. Although it is a bit more comfortable, I didn't get the same benefit as many of the reviews.

After trying to make various different types of mattresses work, Sealy Posturpedic, temperpedic, memory foam, Ikea spring mattresses, with toppers without toppers.... you get the point... My husband and I finally decided to buy the base line Sleep Number bed. It comes with a built in 2" latex foam. We put this 3" foam topper on it and it is now my favorite bed EVER. The 3" is just the perfect thickness and I can control the firmness or the softness of my bed because its a sleep number. I think I have finally found the best mattress.

Needed a topper that offered some support for our travel trailer, this one REALLY works to support us. Closest we have found similar to our high quality memory foam mattress at home. So many we have tried just are wimpy soft. Costs a bit more but you get what you want! Of course for our travel bed we had to cut some off of one end since the mattress is shorter than normal.

Firm is firm! 👍

I believe they are better than what SleepOnLatex offers.
