Mercedes Comand Knob Repair Set (Tools included)

This product was a perfect match for the repair I needed on my Command knob. Of course we know that Mercedes uses plastic for a part that gets this much wear and tear so that they can charge you an arm and a leg to replace the whole unit instead of fixing a very small part that is the root of the problem.This DIY is probably a bit more advanced and I would only tackle it if you feel comfortable with working with very small pieces and have worked on things like this before. It's definitely not a beginner fix in my opinion. But if you are brave enough and want to try it, there are good videos online and you can repair the part in a short time and save yourself thousands.But everything fit perfectly in terms of the part goes. The tools that it comes with are an added bonus but aren't the strongest ones and bent up a little while using them. But overall still give it 5 stars because it's exactly what they say it is. I have had 0 problems since installation and it has been perfect.

works perfectly, save yourself the money and go with this tool. seems intimidating at first but I promise you its ok. also keep a magnetic pick up tool in case you drop a screw, very easy to do ! also this seller gives you tools that are a bonus! took me an hour as I am a complete novice but strongly recommend this over paying benz 1000$ for this. the part you replace is a cheap piece of plastic, make sure not to leave the broken part in the insert when you put this new piece in or It wont align correctly, you will understand when you go through the process, ahh ha! moment.

Worked Fine. Installation instructions with some youtube video was more than enough to get it fixed in less than an hour.

Works great in my 2010 E550 and was a quick and easy install.

Schnell geliefert, zusätzlich eine bebilderte Anleitung und ein Verweis auf ein Hilfsvideo per Mail bekommen. Das absolut beste Angebot zu diesem Artikel und zusätzlich einiges Werkzeug zum Aufhebeln der Klammern an der Abdeckung. Das Teil selbst ist robust, passgenau und funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Reparatur sollte selbst für Laien nicht mehr als eine Stunde in Anspruch nehmen, wodurch ich dieses Reparaturset jedem Werkstattbesuch oder Händler vorziehen würden. (Übrigens kann man beim Mercedeshändler nur den ganzen Contoller am Stück kaufen, der über 250€ kostet, ohne Einbau und selbst ein komplett neuer Controller hätte wiederrum eine Achse aus Plastik, die erneut brechen kann. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Schnell gekauft und relativ schnell eingebaut. Die mitgelieferten Ausbauhilfen waren gut, die neue Welle wird wohl eher nicht brechen...Alles passgenau und anhand der Videos auch alles leicht nach zu vollziehen. Bloß der Ausnau war etwas tricky- das Kabel war verklemmt, bei MB wurde da nicht korrekt gearbeitet... deswegen mussten wir ca 1h bauen

Aufgrund von Videos zu diesem Thema (W204) gepaart mit dem passenden Equipment (TORX in mehreren Größen und lange Ausführung), war die Umsetzung relativ einfach. Die "halbe Stunde" ist zwar beim ersten Schrauben nicht einzuhalten, aber mit regelmäßiger Routine in dem Bereich sicherlich.Das mitgelieferte Equipment ist funktional, die Welle passt einwandfrei.

Anleitung für den Einbau zuerst nicht gefunden doch als ich die entsprechenden Videos zum Einbau gefunden hatte ging die Sache sehr einfach hatte sonst keine Probleme alles hat funktioniert
