These worked out perfect. Measure twice to locate them to some strong structure, install one and use a level to locate the other perfectly up and down. Measure again to verify width and locate/drill your mantel holes and your good. Make sure you have a long enough drill bit and drill straight with a drill press or a helper watching and you should be good to go.

These are heavy duty and well made. Best to install them directly to a stud - carve out the Sheetrock to install. They recommend a 3/4 hole. I used a 3/4” bit in a drill press - the posts are super tight. I had to sand off the paint and coat the posts with graphite in order to get them to slide on.

The best floating shelf brackets we have purchased yet. We are builders / contractors and install floating shelves on a regular basis. These are the sturdiest and easiest to use of any. Totally first class and our carpenter was very pleased with them except for cheap screws. We had to use our own better quality screws.

These are nice heavy brackets rated for over a hundred pounds, which they will support but the wall anchors are the worst. For this price throw in decent screw in wall anchors instead of making me drive to Home-depot to buy them. That's after I put 8 huge holes in my wall to have them pull out! Nothing I hate worse than wasting time and being aggravated.

Thought I would write a review since fakesp•t thought all the other reviews were B.S.The package arrived on time and in good condition. So points for shipping.As for the item itself. The bracket and support are tac welded together but there is enough support In the welds that they can not be bent by Hand or by stepping on them. I attached them to the wall using stud bolts as I did not want them in the drywall but the drywall anchors supplied did look adequate. Each bracket has 4 bolt holes for bracing which is more than enough for the supports for any shelf. The brackets themselves are solid steel and I actually sacrificed one by cutting it to check. The photo is attached to this review. All in all I think these are a better bet than some other brackets out there.They may be a bit pricey than visible brackets but are far better looking and offer more support than other styles. Overall its far better than seeing your books. speakers etc falling off the wall and shelf.

The rods on these brackets were not welded on straight! This made it extremely difficult to align them with holes drilled on the shelf. The brackets were very sturdy, but only came with cheap drywall screws/anchors.

Excellent product. As a builder, I’ve tried several different floating shelf brackets, and these have worked best for me. I’ve used these numerous times now and always been pleased.

Bought this to hang a heavy wood slab. The description said one pair would support 100 pounds so I bought two pairs. The screws are small and weak so I bought heavy duty mounting hardware and put a screw into the stud also. Even with that there is too much flex in them to mount anything heavy without a lot of sagging. They probably work well for light floating shelves but there are many alternatives for that. They are well made.
