Beyond The Gateway (Reapers Trilogy V2) Paperback – December 1, 2015

Phoenix and his companions are determined to learn the truth behind the Gateway. This one has a more complex plot as more details are revealed. Good characterization, and themes about sacrifice, compassion and duty.

I loved this book! My only complaint is the chapters are long. (But no longer than the first book) It's very imaginative. The main character Phoenix has a clear set of morals as he did in the first book, but in this book (without giving away details) he starts to learn about the "highest power" (basically God) and he starts to wrestle with himself and figure out what he really believes. I love this aspect. I feel like this book kinda makes some metophors on spiritual warefar but without compromisizing the action packed, suspenseful, thrilling aspects that were also in the first book. This book picks up right where the first one left off and then enthralls the reader deeper and deeper into the story with many twists and turns. Of course this books does end in the same cliff hanging way the first one did, it's a great read! If you enjoyed the first one you will love this one!

Bryan Davis does it again! Wow, I thought Reapers was a fantastic book. Now Mr. Davis hits us with another fast-paced, exciting book. This is by far the best series he has written to date. I really enjoyed how he again used the first-person point of view to rope me in from the first page. I thought I had figured out where he was going once I was finished reading Reapers, but he throws so many twists into Beyond the Gateway that I couldn't help but keep turning the pages. Keep up the great work Bryan! I can't wait for the final installment!

Sequels generally aren't as good as the original. That isn't the case here."Beyond The Gateway" is a worthy sequel to "Reapers." Plenty of plot twists and surprises make this a fun book to read, and the memorable characters will appeal to any reader. There's plenty of danger throughout the book, but what really drew me in was the internal conflict, watching characters struggle with moral and spiritual questions. As always, Mr. Davis takes his characters to dark places, but in the end he leaves them, and the reader, with hope.I've enjoyed this series thoroughly thus far. I'm looking forward to the final installment.

Amazing..this book was just as good if not better than the first. This book is very fast pace and will keep you on the edge of your seat. This book will make you laugh and most definitely cry. You will get just as mad with the heroes too. It will make you look into yourself. I l9ve this author...if you get a chance please read this series I promise you will not be disappointed.

Bryan Davis is my favorite author for all of the right reasons. If you loved the first book of this series, you'll pick up with Phoenix right where you left him in the first book. Such an amazing sequel and I eagerly look forward to the conclusion of the series!

I bought this book for my 15 year old son who loves this author! He did not disappoint and he's looking forward to more books in the series!
