Cartoon Voices of the Golden Age, Vol. 2
I**S
Intricately and lovingly researched totally unique book
Although I've never actually met the author, Keith Scott, I have had many interactions with him over the years. This book, and the companion Vol.1, are the result of painstaking, thorough and I dare say expensive research into the subject of actors who provided voices for animated cartoons during the theatrical cinema cartoon era in the USA. I say "expensive" because Mr. Scott lives in Australia and made numerous pilgrimages to the USA to perform research into papers and documents I can scarcely believe have been kept for posterity. There is knowledge to be obtained from his two books that I can safely say you will never see anywhere else but if you were to personally search those archives yourself. If you are a obsessive animated cartoon fan, these two volumes must occupy a place on your book shelf. I have the hardcover editions because I know I will be refering to these books a lot with what years I have left.
