I purchased this Robit for my grandsons birthday. He was ecstatic, let’s just say I was the hit that day lol he thought it was the coolest thing ever. The robot has many features to it, it can walk, dance, talk, plays music etc etc. If your looking for a great gift for a young child at an incredible price this is it! I uploaded a short video for your convenience, because if you are like me I like to see how something works prior to purchasing and when buying online I highly rely on video and images to get an idea. So I really hope it helps.

Met All Expectations and My Grandson’s Very Favorite Toy, But the Instructions Manual is Ambiguous and Difficult to Understand
This was a birthday present for my 4 year old grandson who has a fascination for robots and therefore, that was the theme of his birthday party. Although this robot is a little advanced for his age, his excitement is obvious as he operates the remote control functions. When I a purchase a gift and/or toy for a child, I take it out of the package and examine it closely. I look for any sharp edges or loose small pieces that could harm either my 4 year old grandson or present a choking hazard for his younger brother. I was pleased that this robot toy appears to be very safe and without any risk to my grandchildren. In addition, I take the responsibility to make sure the item and/or toy works as reasonably expected, and if batteries or any other requirements are needed I take care of these details ahead of time. Therefore when they receive their gift, it is ready for instant play.Due to his young age, I tried to get acquainted with all the operations first before giving the robot to him. However, although the manual is all in English it seems to be been translated from another language and it was difficult for me to understand.Included with the robot is a charging cable and a remote control transmitter which requires 2 AAA batteries that are not included with this toy.As a side note, there is no reference in the instruction manual where the charging cable plugs into the robot, and it is not in an obvious location. There are four identical small and round openings on the backside of the robot. Two are on his shoulders, one is below, and then another that’s a little further down. The location for the plugging in the charging cable is the small opening below the two holes on his shoulders. Watch my video for clarification. The Remote Control Transmitter Operates the Robot Functions:The robot stands about 10 ½” tall and has 18 LED eyes that flash in different patterns and there are rollers underneath his feet. There are no sharp angles that could harm a child, and the plastic parts and form are round all over. On the robot there is a power button, a reset button, and the sensor to accept ‘hand gestures’.Although the robot does work without the remote transmitter, the transmitter is necessary for all the extra features, to control the movements, the robot’s conversations, music, songs and other functions. The robot does move/swing his arms back and forth, and both his arms and hands have moveable jointed parts. So although the arms automatically swing back and forth the robot user has the capability to adjust the arms up or down and in different various positions. The transmitter allows the robot to turn in different directions, it can walk, and slide (which means it rolls) either forward or backwards. Surprisingly, it rolls and slides well on carpet too.On the transmitter is set of 5 controls on left for 4 different movement directions, with another set that looks identical on the right. The set on the left operates the robot’s sliding (rolling) directions, whereas the set on the right directs the robot’s direction to WALK rather than roll (slide) across the floor.Below the two sets of directional press buttons is a ‘stop’ button in between Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-).The Stop button – only works for about 30 seconds at a time. After the 30 second interval, the robot resumes his talking and his movements. Therefore I need to press the power button to off in order to silence and stop him from moving about, otherwise he restarts on his own. That may need programming too, but I had lost the patience to try to figure it out. There are 5 more press buttons functions at the bottom of the transmitter.1. Science Popularization – this offers about 4 explanations regarding the universe, the stars and other space related information.2. Good Habits – the robots states some healthy hygiene habits (amusing). In addition also reinforces some polite etiquette behavior such as knocking on a closed door rather than barging in.3. Music – short musical tunes include ‘oh Susanna’, ‘Old MacDonald had a farm’, ‘Happy Birthday’ ‘if your happy – clap your hands’ and other similar songs, no verbal singing, just the tunes.4. Machine Language – a series of soft bleeps and whistles that one may hear on cartoons.5. Songs – Bingo the Dog, Old MacDonald had a Farm, Follow Me, and few others in the same category.Another ‘fun’ function is the robot responds to ‘hand gestures’, and I was successful in the hand gestures to signal the robot to ‘move back’, but not very successful in the forward motion or the turns. This will take some time and patience, which I will leave up to my son to learn and then teach my grandson. The robot has the capacity for other ‘programmable’ and finer detailed functions. However, I lack the expertise and patience to learn it all which was mostly due to the confusing instructions. In conclusion, this is a safe and well-made toy, and my grandson is awestruck with his new remote controlled robot. And even though I don’t understand how to fine tune and program all the features, he is thrilled with all with all functions that I was able to show him. The more intricate options he will learn from his dad who has more expertise and patience for this type of technology. If my grandson were to rate this toy, he would give 100 stars, (and probably throw in the sun and moon too). He said that the robot was his very best birthday gift. However, I did have some frustrating challenges and difficulty to follow the ambiguous instructions, but my grandson is so very, very happy that I guess it was all worth it.

The grandkids love it!
The robot arrived today, less than a week after ordering. We were a bit worried because the box had a nice dent in it, but the toy was completely protected and undamaged. The rechargeable battery came with enough charge for the kids to play for a while with the robot. It was solid and had a good heft without being too heavy. It was able to walk equally well on carpet and wood floors, and had wheels in the feet which propelled it at a good clip. The programmed introduction routine was very cute, and it responded to both the remote and hand gestures. As an added bonus, it sings, among other tunes, And Bingo Was His Name. Since they have a dog named Bingo, this was a big hit. All in all well worth the purchase.

Great gift for the kids.
I bought this robot for my kids as Christmas gift. They really loved it. It is very easy to operate from the remote. Once we switch on the robot by default it will do some dance. With remote we can move forward, backward, right and left for sliding or for moving. It has different programs which we can switch to songs, music, machine language and good habit. The robot is chargeable and for the remote we have to use the batteries. Once the charge is down the robot tell you its low battery and switch off itself automatically. Great gift for the kids.

Great toy for the money
I got this robot for my daughter (age 6 3/4), who really enjoys science related toys. She really enjoyed playing with it; she said that it was an awesome toy. As a parent, I love that it teaches some science trivia and helps promote and encourage a love of sciences. The only thing I disliked was that while it is moving it will occasionally tip over while going backwards for no apparent reason. The tipping over, however, did not really detract from my daughters enjoyment.

the kids love it
The Japanese cultural morality messages are really funny, I would think they would hire an American to adjust the script for American norms. I'm glad they didn't has we adults find it hilarious. I don't think my 6 year old grandson or 7 year old nephew know the difference and just love playing with it.

Box was in terrible shape and once opened the robot was scratched up ...
Came in damaged. Box was in terrible shape and once opened the robot was scratched up right in the areas the box was crushed in. Looked like it’s where the packing tape sealed a carton of these. When I returned it there was no possibility of exchange. All around unhappy.
