Great for stashing your key while surfing
I use this for stashing my car key while surfing. It works great. The only issue is that the space inside the box is a bit small, and I had to grind down the non-business end of the key to get it to fit. I only use this key for opening the door after surfing so that's not a big deal.

Feels super secure! Works like almost all other combination locks
For those that are complaining about how the combination lock works, know that this is how every single combination lock I've ever used also works. You hit the first letter, spin past the first letter to the second, and then straight to the third. I do agree that the instructions for setting your own combination are a bit confusing but once you know how it's pretty easy. I bought this to store a spare key for the petsitter when I'm out of town and will probably continue to leave a spare key in there in case I accidentally lock myself out. Overall this feels really secure and not flimsy at all which is exactly what I was looking for. It gives me peace of mind to know that this is listed as one of the most secure key safes on the market. Very happy with my purchase!

The only secure realtor keysafe lock box
This is the only secure realtor keysafe lockbox out there.I have used digital wheel technology, push buttons technology and the only one that seems safe is the spin dial type. The other two aforementioned technologies that I have used were hacked into. The digital wheel technology was defeated by the Peterson knife tool or any feeler gauge and the push button technology was defeated by finger print dust or a invisible ink & UV light.I discover about the Peterson Knife Tool & the digital wheel technology, by process of elimination, when Hispanic Industrial Spies working for the Asian businesses enter my place when I was away. As normally I only keep the keys of my high security latch locks in the keysafe in case I accidentally lock myself out. And there was no need to keep the key for the high security deadbolt in the keysafe, as I can not lock the deadbolt lock without having the key on me. But the last time I felt overly confident about the keysafe that I put the spare key for the high security deadbolt in the digital wheel keysafe. Thus when Hispanic Industrial Spies working for the Asian businesses enter my place when I was away, it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that the weakness is in the digital wheel keysafe, knowing that I already secure my windows & sliding patio door with special methods/hardwares.And with my luck, this spin dial technology will end up being hack. However I have had this spin dial keysafe technology before and it seems safe and I did not notice it was able to be hacked. And I am not aware of any tool able to defeat the spin dial yet. But am not saying that there might not be a tool to defeat the spin dial technology that I am not aware of, as I am not GOD and am not all knowing & all seeing. The only difference between this spin dial keysafe and the prior spin dial keysafe I had was that prior one had the alphabets place on the dial with a sticker of some kind. And after a few years, the alphabets on the sticker start to fade and then the sticker start to peel off. As a result I had to throw that spin dial keysafe away due to poor quality, not to mentioned not being able to read the alphabets clearly on the faded sticker. The dial on this GE Spin Dial Keysafe is painted on and look very attractive. I am very happy with this product and the quality of the workmanship.5 stars and a hooray for the GE Spin Dial Keysafe.Update 03/29/2013I have finally got the name of the Cheap Dial Combination Key Lock box that has a sticker with the alphabets on the dial mentioned above. I guess it is a cheap knock off of GE Spin Dial Keysafe and it goes by the name of Avanti Guardian Dial Combination Lockbox. Do a web search for "Avanti Guardian Dial Combination Lockbox" or an Amazon search for "Avanti Guardian Lockbox" and look at the picture, you can tell that the alphabet on the dial is a sticker place on top of the dial.Update 4/5/2019It seems that this Lockbox is able to be pick/hack under certain condition. To keep this item unpickable, make sure the top two combination discs do not have the grooves align with each other. If it is align, certain master hacker/picker can decode the combination. Thus if you don't pay attention, there is a 50% change of the grooves align with each other and are able to be decoded and open.

Super Heavy Duty key box that works just great! Highly recommended with you own combination. A+++
Super heavy duty with millions of combinations that you can set yourself. You do have to take two screws out of the back of the lock when changing the combination and reinstall them but it was very simple to do. If you can handle a Phillips screwdriver and are not a complete klutz then you will have no problem selecting any combination that you want. It would be easier to destroy the door frame and lock than to get into this key box. Highly recommended. A+++UPDATE: Question about an elderly person operating the lock box.Just to turn the dial is not bad at all. It is a mechanical dial lock and a little bit gritty and not like some $1000 ball bearing bank lock. It's more like one of those standard Masters lock that everyone had on their lockers as kids. Since there are so many possible combinations (a real plus in my opinion) it does, however, make it a bit tough for a person with poor eyesight or limited finger dexterity to align the lock on the correct combination. The other thing is that the lock is a standard right-left-right lock that you are assumed to have some knowledge of.To open it you must:1. Turn the dial a couple of times to the right to clear the combination.2. Continue turning the dial right to the first letter.3. Turn the dial to the left PAST THE FIRST LETTER in the combination to the second letter in the combination.4. Turn the dial back to the right to the final letter in the combination.5. Manually press down on the button above the dial to open the tiny key safe and let the whole dial assembly/little door fall into your hand away from the back of the lock box the and then extract the key(s) stored inside. In other words the key door is NOT hinged. When the key box is open it is in two pieces, the dial/door as piece 1 and the lock box and loop that goes around the door knob as piece two.6. Close the safe by replacing the tiny key door and manually pressing up on the door release button to relock the little key safe and spin the dial.Note: To initially determine what you want as the combination is a bit challenging and may be too much for an elderly person to initially set the combination. It requires opening the safe as listed above and then using a Philips screwdriver to remove a plate and slightly disassemble the lock itself to move around the little rings to set each of the three letters of the combination. Then reassemble the lock and you are done until such a time that you want to change the combination again. Sounds tough but it is easily accomplished if you closely follow the instructions. So my recommendation is to have someone younger and nimbler to initially set the combination for the elderly person and then they can probably use it with no problems. All in all I love this little key safe and would buy another one in a heartbeat! I give it an A++++

Easy to use and secure
Thanks to other reviews, setting up a code was not too difficult. Once you've tested it a few times, it becomes easy and obvious. MAKE SURE, like instructions state, that you can unlock several times before putting combination lid back in keybox.

Solid
Well designed and fairly easy to change the combination as often as needed.

Inferior to the Kidde 001014
I originally bought the Kidde 001014 (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B000W4SF9M) and recently I needed to store a second key separately. I wanted to have the two lock boxes visually distinct, so I ordered this 000514 (this lockbox) since it was black and looked functionally similar to the 001014.This lockbox, the 000514, is near identical to the 001014 with the exceptiosn that the backplate for the door is plastic rather than a solid chunk of metal and the dial was vastly inferior. Spinning the dial felt like the mechanism was turning against sandpaper. It was awful. It may have been a manufacturing defect, but I'll pay the extra 5 CAD and go with the superior 001014. It's the same brand anyway.

Good but crap instructions, here's how to open it...
Good product, but crap instructions. At least 3times clockwise, set 'S', counter clockwise passing 'P' and set 'P' the next time around, them clockwise to 'I', and open. Now print that in your instructions!

Solid lock - Watch youtube for instructions!
I bought this after looking at many reviews and suggestions that it is difficult to break, has not leverage points to reef against it, and combination is harder to crack. Many people complained this is difficult to use - especially if you're not familiar with combination locks already.I watched a youtube video which explained how to use it, how to change the combination, etc.The main thing was the instructions are unclear - saying 'left -> right -> left' - but it's:left -> right - first a full 360 degrees, then continue onto the second letter -> leftAfter seeing on a video it made sense and is easy to use. Seems fairly solid. I used high strength anchoring screws to mount it.
