It’s useful for different hip & thigh muscles that are hard to reach, and very helpful for tense calves. Glad I went ahead and got this. Original review: I just got this yesterday and tried it last night. My hip has felt tight and has ached for a year or so. That’s my fault for not exercising and stretching as much, but once that problem happens, it’s not easy to address. This works to help release the iliacus muscle and seems to have a very positive effect on other muscles that are affected by it. I already feel much less tension and pain. This is easy to assemble, disassemble and pack when traveling. The meat grinder and other attachments are a super hard plastic . I didn’t know there were soft covers available, but there are. Since I didn’t purchase them, I doubled a blanket and draped it over the whole thing to soften the pressure. Even with that, it was a lot of pressure, and I feel bruised today. BUT we all know getting to tight muscles like this is going to involve discomfort, so that was no surprise. The takeaway for me is that it seems to help considerably with hip area tension- it’s similar to a deep tissue massage- it may hurt pr be uncomfortable at the time, but it help considerably, so I do it. I’ll continue using this . Curious to know if the soft covers make much difference. Also curious to know if the Aletha hip hook is any more comfortable.
