Little rough, but definitely high carbon steel
For the price, can't beat it, sure you have to grind and prep the surface a bit more if you are looking to use this in Damascus billets. But 10 pieces for 36 bucks? I'd say it's well worth it

Old review of product they came wrapped bent and pretty rusty.This time they came packed better and were flatter and mostly clean hardly and rust. Very good improvement from last order. Thank you

Arrived warped
Billets arrived with a nice arc to them, I’m not even comfortable using them as a knife blank at this point.
