Well, like many cat owners looking for a solution to lead your cat to a place of calm and zen when having their nails clipped, it seemed it would never be possible. I've tried EVERYTHING until I found this face mask. At first, I thought, ooooh, don't think so. But, reading the reviews of those who were successful with it, I decided to give it a go. My issue wasn't getting the mask on her face, it was determining which side was UP. I looked at the photo several times and finally got it right and it was probably just me. Also, I got the size right, but my flexible kitty was able to get her paw in and under the mask and whoosh, it was off. So, since she wears a collar, which I tightened a bit, I decided to slip on the open strap through the collar and secure the velcro ends. This method kept it on her face better and no matter how many times she clawed to get it off, she wasn't able to. Next, I scruffed her with one hand with a finger on the collar and boom,... she was calm and quiet! While I had her on my lap, her four legs were out with paws and nails exposed and NO RESISTANCE. Clip, clip, clip and the job was done. She didn't hold a grudge and ate her treat and was purring in seconds. It could just be my cat, but I did want to report my success with this item. I hope the best for anyone using it.

The product is good but it came to me having a strong odor of dryer sheets - which I hate. I had to wash it twice to get the stink out and I may have to give it a third wash to make sure the odor has been completely removed before I use it.

It was good idea to cover their eyes. My Cat called down and let me work on his nails, but it was too big on him he was able to get out of it so easily...

I'm finally able to clip my big Ragdoll cats claws without getting clawed myself or bitten! I've fought her for three years and was about done with her. I put this on her and she immediately laid there with a low growl. She tried to bolt at first so I had to hold her down between my knees. Once she turned her head to snap at my hand but of course she missed! The muzzle was a tad big but it still held her mouth shut! She's not a typical Ragdoll friendly cat. She hates kids and strangers. Before I could only attempt to cut her claws when outside, so she can be distracted by the flying insects. That did not work at all this summer and she bit me for the first time. I'm the only one she really gets along even though she is not a cuddler. So success achieved! This is A MUST HAVE for cat owners.

Being that I just recently received the cat muzzle I could only give a three for the sturdiness and durability. Maybe after I have used it for awhile the rating will change.I ordered a medium, but it looked much smaller than I expected. I have only used it once and it seemed to be just fine, I only cut my cats two back claws to test how it would work, she’s declawed in the front.So tonight I will be shaving her because she has long hair that mats up pretty bad. Tonight I will know more about if this mask will work for my cat that would love to scratch and bite me severely for what I am about to do. Yikes! So I sure hope it holds up. 😬😬😬

I decided to start shaving my cats myself rather than take them to the groomers, so a mask was a must. I bought this one. I have used it several times already during grooming sessions, and I must say that the presence of a mask does seem to calm them down a bit and give me a bit more control with 1 of the cats. But I'm concerned as to the reason - although the mask has a nose hole for breathing, it may move during the wrestling that occurs, and then the cat can't breathe because the nylon is not breathable. So maybe he is just focusing on breathing rather than focusing on my grooming? Overall I'm glad I bought it though, it is really easy to put on and off or even adjust during the grooming session, even with a very difficult cat!

We bought this for our ten pound cat because he does try to bite while we clip his nails and I often have to have myself and my significant other pin him down to make sure he doesn't hurt us or himself. This mask completely eliminated the need for two people. It made me feel safe knowing he cannot bite while I take care of him. It has been the easiest clipping session so far! Based off the reviews I was worried about the straps not adjusting to fit since people seemed to complain about that. I ordered a medium because I'd rather have a bigger size than a smaller one. The medium was completely adjustable to have a tighter fit so it would not slide off, you just have to use the full extent of the Velcro. I got all four paws, by myself, in less than 5 minutes. Gave a treat after and he was good to go!!

I have been cutting my cats nails for 14 years and he started getting more aggressive this year with this task. Figured I try this product out. I ordered the small and it work great. He didn't fight me to put it on and I was able to cut all his nails with no issues. I would recommend this product to anyone
