Dangerous for small children
Although a clever toy it is dangerous to small children. The hole covers come off too easily. We were lucky to find one before our grandson put it in his mouth. These covers are so small therefore easily put into a mouth and swallowed. This needs to be addressed with immediate effect.

Better suited for an older toddler
I got this for my one year old as the title says 18+ months. It's really better suited for a child over the age of 2.It's small and because of the size of the "spike" pegs it's a bit difficult for little hands that don't quite have the right dexterity yet for grasping small items. An older toddler with better fine motor skills would have no problem putting the pegs into the dinosaur. It also don't look much like a dinosaur to me, more like an alligator. My kids don't mind what it looks like since they just see a fun animal to play with. The pegs are brightly colored and numbered. We got all the right numbers, no duplicates or missing numbers.Everything stores in the dinosaur which is great since I would imagine we would lose the pieces very easily if they didn't store in something. Having them store in the dinosaur eliminates the need to store them in another container or keeping the box for storage.Over all it is a cute toy and my toddlers like it, even if it's still a little too hard for my 1 year old.

A bit cheap feeling and hollow, but cute and has some merit
The entirety of this lilttle dinosaur toy is super light and hollow plastic. When I say little, its definitely little. Photo next to a standard roll of tape for scale. While it I wouldn't call it exactly "portable" for the amount of pieces in here, its definitely doable as the whole thing opens up( and locks in place!) to keep all the numbered spikes in. So if this becomes a favorite you could toss it in a to go bag if theres going to be a sit and play visit somewhere. The numbered and colored matching is a nice touch, always a welcome addition to any toy to add some value to submerge the littles with some snuck in learning. Calling out numbers to pull or place to your little is an easy interactive way for the adult to participate with low effort. Though overall this is very generic, and super hollow feeling since its so light. Very small as well. I've seen similar sets in a variety of quality, so in comparison this seems quite basic. Has its merit, looks nice, though definitely not the best available in this type of toy.
