I have used this as my regular bed. It has lasted a long time. The controls are great because it does get bumped and deflate in the middle of the night.

Updating my review again 5/4/2025 for the bed I just purchased in March. My guest was nearly on the floor this morning with the pump running constantly thru the night to re-inflate. The bed has only been in use for about 3 weeks. Seriously, can no one else solve this problem for air mattresses? Bestway is not living up to their name here!Updating my review 3/2025: Just bought another one of these beds as I haven't been able to find a better one. The pump that maintains the air pressure still works but only gets triggered when I get up out of the bed. The firmest setting is still too soft for me so, several times during the night I have to manually re-inflate the bed otherwise I'm sleeping in a bowl by morning. I thought I was getting the same color bed as before but this one came as a dark brown color which I do not like. Unfortunately, I already dismantled the bedroom to make room for this new bed.Original review: I bought this one to replace the last AlwayzAire mattress I had been using for the past year or so which started leaking so badly. The auto-refill pump never did work in that one but as the mattress was not returnable, I was stuck with it. I read this ToughGuard mattress was constructed out of much better materials so I thought I'd try one more time. This one comes with settings for soft, medium, firm. I need a firm mattress. The good news is the refill pump does work in this one. The bad news is that the Firm setting is barely any different that the soft setting. At least with the old one, I could manually pump it up every night to the right pressure. This mattress doesn't have a manual fill option. For Pete's sake, we have the technology to create sealed suits for space or deep diving why in the world can't they make a mattress that holds it's air under pressure?

This mattress is firm when completely inflated, which is comfortable for my back. It states to leave the power cord plugged in, so it can maintain a constant pressure, if the control is facing the wall, the mattress has a tendency to drift closer to the wall when this occurs the movement of the mattress will turn the inflation knob just enough that allows the mattress to deflate. To prevent this from happening, I put the control at the foot which allows the power cord to be exposed creating a tripping hazard, I leave the mattress unplugged and amazingly it stays inflated. My mattress doesn’t need to be constantly plugged in!

Bed failed longevity test. only used less than 1 month.?
