Better than the last one
Product came prompt and in good packaging. No instructions but if you follow the diagram from the original you should be good. I had no issues and it works great. Much quieter than my old one. Smells better too. The picture is the old on the left and I’m just plug and play the wire from the old set to the new one

Reliable Power Center for RVs
The 55 amps provide plenty of power, and the installation was straightforward. It keeps my batteries charged efficiently, and I love the compact design.

Works great.
Sort of a pain to replace the wiring but fairly simple to install. Works better than OEM in my camper as it is rated for better batteries.

This is the power station you are looking for! Don't let the local RV shops rip you off!
I recently (February 2016) purchased a 2008 Palomino Puma 28 ft travel trailer. This was my first time purchasing a camper. I have never owned one before and considered myself a novice, at best. The previous owner bought the trailer brand new and maybe used it 10 times. The rest of the time, the trailer sat in the woods. After re-purposing the roof, servicing the water heater, flushing the water pipes, replacing the battery and replacing the tires we (my family and I) decided to take it on our first camping trip. After the initial hookup to the 30 Amp power supply, everything seemed to work perfectly. Then, after a day of camping, I noticed the lights started to dim. I used a battery charger to keep the lights working for the rest of the trip and started to trace everything with my multi-meter.After testing all breakers, fuses, lines and testing the converter box I finally concluded the converter was dead. So, I started calling around to three of my local RV repair shops and the lowest quote I could get for this power station was $278.00. I was also quoted $210.00 for JUST the converter. Luckily, trusty Amazon came to the rescue. I purchased this power center for $162.00 and installed it this weekend and it works amazingly! The install was not difficult to figure out, but it was a little tedious considering all of the rewiring and the tight spaces (I am not a small person). I started by drawing a small schematic of the existing box. I then used yard sale stickers to label each wire and breaker. I then removed every wire from the existing box, and breakers. After it was completely disconnected, I removed the old unit. After that, I switched out each breaker, fuse and then rewired the new box. Subsequent to the new install, the converter is now pushing 13.5 Amps straight to the battery and completely charged it within an hour. Success! I think after all my hard work, new understandings, experience and work, I can elevate my status from novice to competent and I hope to be well on my way to expert. Happy camping! :)

First One A Dud, Second Okay, Great Customer Service
WFCO WF8955PECB Black 55 Amps: This replaces the same model in a Four Winds travel trailer. Box arrived so beat up was going to return it due to all the loose screws and loose fuse card. Decided to keep as the original was getting sketchy and needed replaced. None of the converter elements appeared damaged. In these units the converter has 5 wires and 3 come pre-wired from the factory. Only a black power and white neutral need to be connected. Very simple task. However on the initial throw of the breaker I was greeted with a bright flash, a big ZAP sound and the unmistakable odor of a fried converter electrical circuit. Warranty process is rather lengthy, requiring testing of the unit, forms to be filled out, a consultation with a WFCO technician and a return of the damaged converter. In the end there were 6 pages of material to be faxed to WFCO. Luckily, Tiffany S. takes care of the warrany issues and she was superb at her job. Walked me through the process and the replacement unit arrived 4 days later. Hooked it up the same as before and all is well with the power unit.

If your factory unit has wiring harnesses, salvage them!
The Parallax 45 amp system in our 2008 Winnebago Access 31J went out on us. I had considered just buying the "lower" unit to fix my blown converter. It was going to be less work (and more money!) but ultimately I settled on this unit since it was affordable and well-reviewed.It took a couple hours all told to install. I significantly shortened the install time by cutting the DC wiring harnesses out of the old unit so the DC side of the install was entirely plug and play. In my pictures, the first two pictures are the factory Parallax unit. Note the red, green and blue wires. Those wires run to the harness in the back of the Parallax unit. The darker pictures (sorry for the bad lighting) show how I salvaged the Parallax harnesses and ran them through the DC knockouts in the back. This was wise, as it made the installation much quicker on the DC side. Also, if your RV manufacturer has electrical diagrams for your model online, take the time to download and review the diagrams for the factory unit! It helped a lot!Overall, I'm very pleased with this power converter as a replacement for my factory unit.

Perfect aftermarket part
After my amazing hubby decided to plug our 30amp camper into a 50amp breaker. Haha We discovered that we would need a completely new power converter station. Figured out what we needed and found it much cheaper here! We have installed it and everything is working perfectly.

Plug and play replacement
I'm good with electrical stuff so for me it was a plug and play experience, real easy ! Only annoying thing is the door keeps opening when vibrations are close to it. The retaining clip is not sturdy enough.
