Works great!
I had a rust stain on pure white marble. The product turned purple and I wiped it off. It left a purple stain on the marble but I put a paste of baking soda and water and rinsed it off. There was no color on the stone. Very pleased with the product.

Waste of time...
Sounded like the perfect product for my needs, but failed to make the slightest difference in the rust stains. Applied per the directions, the gel never changed color, and the rust stains remained. Rinsed the tile, cleaned the area with acetone and a extra-fine scotch brite pad, rinsed, dried, and re-applied the gel - same lack of color change and results. Thankfully, was able to return (as defective) to Amazon for a refund.

Works like Magic!
I left a small metal statue on my fantasy brown quartz/marble composite countertops. Needless to say, mix that with a little water and you get a stubborn rust stain. I but several drops of this product on the stain, left it on for 15 minutes as suggested, it turned purple as described and wiped it off to find that it had completely removed the rust stain. I had been scrubbing with all sorts of other products to no avail. If this product doesn’t work for you on marble or quartz, you aren’t doing it correctly!

Useless on White Marble.
Based on the glowing reviews posted here, I decided to give this product a try. Unfortunately, after trying this product, I must agree with the one star reviews. This product did not "turn purple," and did not remove the rust stain. I tried it FOUR TIMES, and it did nothing, except waste my time and money, leave bleach stains on my clothes, and stink up the bathroom. Don't bother.

Removed Rust from Honed Carrara Marble
I wish I would have taken before pictures to share. I had 10 to 12 small dots of rust on my new Honed Carrara Marble countertops from a soap dispenser that was dispersing rust with the soap. I had many little spots of rust before I realized it. I tried another product for stains on marble, but not specifically for rust and it did nothing. This Fila product did remove the rust. I put a small amount in the lid of the container and used a small artist paint brush to put it on the spots. After a few minutes each spot starting turning purple. I left it on 10-15 minutes. Then I dabbed each area with a clean cloth according to instructions, I was left with purple areas around each spot. I first cleaned with distilled water, but the purple areas remained. However, I used a drop of blue dawn dish soap mixed with a saucer full of distilled water. Then I dipped a white cloth in this mixture and rubbed each spot. After using a different clean cloth to remove the excess water, I put baking soda over each spot to draw out the water. I did have to repeat this entire process a few times for the rust and purple areas to be completely removed. It did take some time and effort, but I am happy with the results. There are different products for different stain on natural stone. I do not know if this works on other type of stains since it is made to react with Rust.

Worked for me
Wet cast iron left rust spots on my marble countertops. This took it out in a single, 15-minute application. From reading the reviews it seems it works in some cases and not at all in others. In my case it worked 100%.

Smells horrible and barely made a difference
I applied this 7 times. The stains are basically the same except one now has a purple ring around it. And my shower smells horrible.

worked on light rust stain
My marble counter top had a rust stain from a soup can, that water got under. The rust stain wasn't strong, but noticeable from the circular pattern. I used an artists brush to apply this product to the rust spots. After 15 minutes I blotted off the product and washed with water. Rust stains completely gone!
