I think they would be easier to use if you could crimp them then heat up to solder. It’s a bit tricky to hold them together without having the wires come out before the solder is set. Overall they’re okay. Definitely form a good bond but the shrink tubing doesn’t seem to seal completely. Good thing for the solder. I haven’t used them in the lake yet so I don’t know if completely waterproof.

This is a great kit to combine wires and keep a waterproof connection. The case keeps everything nice and organized and the number of connectors will last you for quite some time. The connectors are easy to crimp and shrink well.

My husband has been the one to use these, so he wrote the following:These connectors come well packaged in a hard-side transparent case. Most sets of small parts with cases of this type have a problem with bleed over, where are the items inside end up moving from one compartment to the next and mixing with the others. The cover on this set holds down tight enough that this doesn’t happen. I was pleasantly surprised when this set arrived with all of the different sizes still in their own compartments. The case also shows pictures on the lid of the various sizes and quantities of each colored connector, along with their corresponding wire sizes.The set actually comes with an instruction sheet, which kind of surprised me. Instructions are rare for connectors or, at least, I don't come across any. Anyway, the instructions are in five languages, English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish. The instructions do not contain any revelations for those familiar with how these connectors work, but they look fairly useful for someone without experience with them, which I think is pretty cool. Everybody starts somewhere.I love to use shrink tube style connectors. I prefer the type with solder in the middle, which melts while the tubing shrinks, but those are expensive. These, crimp style connectors, are a good compromise. They are affordable and still quite easy to use, but you still get the same durability, waterproof protection, and strong electrical bond. The connectors in this set make strong positive connections and shrink evenly onto the insulation of the wires.I also really like having a large assortment on hand of different sizes to handle projects as they come up.In conclusion, I am quite impressed with this set of connectors and would definitely recommend it.

We are working on a remodel on our RV. It isn't that old and has only 31,000 miles on it, but we are having a house built on our lakefront property and we decided that since it was only the 2 of us and our dogs, we would live in our 34' RV while the house was being constructed.With that in mind, my wife wanted to replace countertops, lighting, lighting switches and several appliances. When I saw this assortment of the sizes that I have been using, I instantly ordered it.These are QUALITY Connectors and the Heat Shrink actually works perfectly. (I have had bad experiences with some of these types of connectors where the heat shrink was either defective or just downright cheap. Not these. I kick myself in the rear for not ordering these sooner.I have already used about 15 of these from the assortment and am VERY pleased. Everything comes pre-sorted in a nice, ample-sized case.If you are in need of connectors like these, you cannot go wrong with these at this price point.
