Ceramic Chicken Nesting Eggs (Brown) - Fake Training Eggs for Laying Chickens, Hen Nest Boxes & Home Decoration

I used these to train my chickens to lay in the box so I didn’t have to go in an egg hunt every day. This is my second round with chickens because a dog got the first Ones i had. I didn’t have these with those and had to look for eggs every day which got old fast. With the exclusion of the chicken I call trouble, it worked out perfect. Trouble just lays where ever she wants. 🙄 I put these in when my first hen started showing signs of getting ready to lay (squatting when I walked by). It really helped with the curiosity of the eggs. Had a few pecking at them at first and once they got bored they never messed with my other eggs. Highly recommend these for training. Guess they could be good for decoration as well!

Glad I got these...they are weighted similarly to real eggs and have an egg-like texture. This not only promotes laying where you want the eggs to be, it also discourages pecking at the eggs since the chickens learn these cannot be broken.

It worked great for the new chickens we got. After they saw the fake eggs which you couldn't really tell from real ones, the hens figured out what the nesting box was for. I had to put a little ink mark on each one so I didn't mistake then for the real eggs. Now they are stored away until we raise more chickens for babies in the spring. Highly recommend them for the newbies.

Good size and weight

These eggs look so similar to real eggs it is insane.They are doing what I have purchased them for - 2 of my 4 hens have started laying in the area where I've put these eggs (one hen actually lays her eggs right next to the fake one almost every day).

So they know where to nest

I bought them for my chickens so they would lay their eggs in the coop cuz they at first were laying in the bushes and we couldn't find the eggs. These fake eggs solved the problem. We no longer have to hunt for eggs. I had them for a year before my kid broke one of them, banging it on something. So they are not indestructible but held up pretty well. I would recommend them.
