Surprisingly Good Quality
Until now, I have used Hohner, Suzuki, and Lee Oskar harmonicas. When it was time to replace a Lee Oskar, I bought this East Top as an experiment. It was much less expensive, so my expectations were not high.I was pleasantly surprised! I'm very happy with the way it feels and sounds. Time will tell how it holds up, but I'm expecting to buy more East Top harmonicas in the future.

Great Harp, Little Tough High Notes
After playing on it a bit to loosen things up, the 008k's are some of my favorites to play. Except for some higher holes which seem very sensitive to too much air pressure, or are tough to overblow, the bendability and response across the harp are great, in all keys. Fantastic for straight and cross harp playing.

High Quailty - Sounds Great
I don't usually review products, but I was so impressed when I received this harmonica, that I had to share my thoughts. I really didn't expect it to be of such high quality. But just by the design and feel of it, you'll know it was carefully made. And it sounds terrific! Even the zipper-case that it comes with is impressively made!

Strong plastic smell - Unplayable (Update: you can get rid of the smell)
This is a review for a Diatonic Harmonica. It sounds good, bends easily. From the little I used it, I am quite impressed.Too bad that it has such a strong plastic/chemical smell/taste that it gave me a small headache and the taste stuck with me for quite a while after that brief attempt at playing. I don't know what the smell is, but I have felt it before in bags/luggage. In the bag case, it never quite went away, but at least you don't have to breath in your luggage! In my opinion, this harmonica is not safe to play.I had this issue with their Forerunner chromatic also. It could be that the smell stuck to the harmonica from the case. I will leave it out of the case for a while and see if the smell goes away. If so, I will update this review.UPDATE:I left the harmonica out of its case for several days, and soaked it in the highest percentage ethanol I could find that was still food-grade (i.e. 40% vodka). There is still a mild, but strange feeling of "dry mouth" after playing, but I can't detect the smell anymore. Other than that, the quality is surprisingly good.

Great harmonic for the money.
Excellent harmonic especially given it's price. All holes are in tune and it's well made. I'm buying a bunch.
