Purchased these for my daughter. When they came the bottom was not attached in some spots. When I tried to exchange I was told that I could not exchange I needed to purchase a new pair. Unfortunately, the price went up by $3. Ridiculous that I had to pay more for a defective product. I was short on time due to a pending cruise so I paid the difference. I would not recommend these as the quality is poor.

The mesh panels are covered inside with a fabric to protect your foot from the mesh, but it's not a soft fabric. The kids complain their feet are rubbed really uncomfortably from walking. This is unlike other water shoes we have, e.g., Speedo), where the inner fabric over the mesh sections is soft/low friction.Also, the size adjustment at the rear just makes it more difficult to put the shoes on. If you tug on it to help get your foot in it closes down the mouth and makes your job that much harder.

Shoes are exactly as expected. We use them for a river trip where we wear them all day, and they have to withstand 100 degree heat, constant in and out of the water, and rocks. They made it 5 days. I would have preferred that they last longer as they got a big hole in the bottoms on day 4 or 5. However, I still rate them a 3 because it's a tough job for any watershed. Before they fell apart, they were great.

Construction:As far as construction, they seem on par with adult water shoes. They have a good grip on the sole and good elasticity at the portion where the foot goes in.Fit:The shoes arrived and we immediately tried them on our 2.5 year old. They were a very tight fit, more like a 6 or 6.5, and the next day at the splash park he wanted to take them off after a while. He wears a 7 in every other shoe he has except these, apparently. Because he has a little brother who will one day wear these, we decided to not return them. Instead, we ordered a size 8. Those are a much better fit -- very, very slightly loose -- but we'd rather them be slightly loose than hurting his feet.All in all, we are very happy with the shoes in general. Just wish the sizing was more in line with standard shoe sizes.

I think these shoes run a smidge small. My son wears a 1 1/2 shoe in his tennis shoes, so I ordered a 2 in these shoes. His toes were right at the end. They were fine for our trip, but they definitely wouldn’t have been more than a one season shoe. Aside from that, they aren’t good quality. On day 4 of wearing them at the beach, the shoe completely separated from the sole. One foot is like a flipper now and the other pair is loose at the toes. Disappointing to say the least. I’m fine with the fit and being a one season shoe because they aren’t expensive, but the quality is disappointing since they didn’t even last our full trip.

Seem to be very well made. Seem to be secure on my 4 year olds foot. However, they run small. We just bought her size 12 sneakers, so I bought a size 12. Her toe was right at the top edge and curled under. Returned and reordered the next size.Other than running small, they seem to be good quality.

Bought these for my son for our trip to the Bahamas , he loves them he said they are really comfortable.

I purchased this water shoe for my 8-year old son. He just recently started wearing size 1 sneakers, so I ordered him a size 1. The shoes fit, but he says that they are a little snug. We will probably get another few months out of them and then he will have outgrown it. But they are comfortable and worked great during snorkeling and underwater snuba (on our recent vacation to the Caribbean).
