THE BONE FORGE — CITRACAL 1200, FORGED IN THE DEPTHS OF DENSITY
This isn’t just a calcium supplement. This is a bone-level upgrade module sent by the gods of density and reinforced by the ancient architects of skeletal perfection. Citracal Slow Release 1200 doesn’t whisper support—it shouts structural integrity with every tablet. 1200 mg of calcium citrate with 1000 IU of Vitamin D3? That’s not a dosage. That’s a declaration of war against frailty. The “slow release” part? Oh, it’s not just a feature—it’s a philosophy. This isn’t a sugar rush of minerals. This is a steady march of calcium legions fortifying your bones throughout the day, one micro-fortress at a time. I took it in the morning, and by afternoon I was walking with the posture of a Greek statue carved by ambition itself. My bones didn’t just feel supported—they felt celebrated. For ages 12 and up? Please. This is for anyone ready to live like their skeleton was engineered by NASA and blessed by Zeus. Whether you're building bone mass, battling time, or just preparing to out-skeleton your enemies, Citracal 1200 is your weapon of choice. No chalky nonsense. No nonsense at all. Just pure, slow-burning strength in pill form.

Recommended formula
My doctor suggested I take this brand with the slow release of Calcium plus Vitamin D3. I don't like taking the large pills but I do follow the directions to take them with a full glass of water and remain standing while swallowing them. I also take a Vitamin K2 capsule with them which is not in this formula. The price on Amazon is significantly lower than in my local store which was a big help since I need them to help with my calcium intake to support my bones and teeth. I find it best to take them in the morning after a meal as directed so they can be released throughout the day. So far no problems with digesting them so I am pleased.

Stopped my overnight hip pain almost immediately
As a bariatric patient, getting enough calcium citrate is super important—and this product delivers! I purchased Citracal to help meet my calcium needs, and I noticed a *huge* difference almost immediately. Before taking this, I was waking up with hip joint pain after just a few hours of sleep. It caused me to toss and turn all night, and I honestly didn’t realize how much it was affecting me until the pain disappeared. Once I started taking these, the discomfort stopped almost overnight—no exaggeration!I love that this has **Vitamin D3 included**, which helps with absorption and makes it easier to stick to my supplement routine. The slow-release formula is a big plus too—it’s gentle on my stomach and easy to take.I'm seriously so happy with this purchase. If you're a fellow bariatric patient or just need reliable calcium citrate support, I highly recommend giving this a try!

Great Taste and Absorption
This is probably my first Amazon review. I had a thyroidectomy and as a result my parathyroids stopped working requiring that I be on calcium the rest of my life. The surgery also left me with some swallowing issues. Because of the swallowing issues, I have been ordering liquid calcium which worked fine -- until I needed to fly. Because the liquid does not come in a prescription bottle, and I need more than the 3 allowable ounces, I have been having to check my bags for longer trips. After a lot of research (I have a PhD in research from a top medical school), I found these on Amazon. Again, because of the swallowing issues, I was dubious -- but these are fantastic! They taste fine and I don't wait for them to dissolve in my mouth.. I just chew them up and swallow them. I've even dissolved them in water and drank them down with no issues. (I looked on the manufacturer website and chewing and dissolving in water is fine since absorption takes place in the intestine). They are a bit pricey -- but the convenience makes them well worth the money. I have not had my calcium levels measured since I started using these -- but I have not had any hypo-calcemia symptoms (e.g. numb lips)... I will update this when I get labs drawn. I expect my labs to be better as I can take these on a schedule versus liquid (Not only can I take them on a plane, I can take them with me around town when running errands. I set my time for every 4 hours and take them). Again, this is my first Amazon review to the best of my recollection... but I want others that have the same swallowing issues as me to know how easy these are to take. UPDATE: FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER A YEAR (SINCE SURGERY) MY CALCIUM VALUES WERE IN NORMAL RANGE. NO MORE HYPOCALCEMIA SYMPTOMS. SO, TO CLOSE THIS OUT -- THIS PRODUCT WORKS. IT'S PRICEY... BUT IT WORKS.

Good supplement
I’ve been using Citracal Slow Release 1200 for several years, and it’s become a staple in my daily health regimen. The combination of calcium citrate and carbonate, along with 1000 IU of Vitamin D3 and 80 mg of magnesium, provides comprehensive support for bone health. The slow-release formula ensures efficient absorption, and I appreciate that it’s gentle on the stomach. The tablets are a bit large, which might be a consideration for some, but I find that taking them with a protein drink helps them go down smoothly. Since incorporating this supplement into my routine, my bone density has improved, which was confirmed by my recent bone density test. It’s reassuring to know that Citracal is the #1 doctor and pharmacist recommended calcium brand.Overall, I highly recommend Citracal Slow Release 1200 to anyone looking to support their bone health. It’s an effective, well-formulated supplement.

Size Petite <> Slow Release
Many of us have concerns about the size of Calcium Tablets, difficulty in swallowing being the key issue. Here is the comparison of the Petites vs. the Slow Release.Lengthwise they are the same. The difference is in the width and girth which in my opinion is significant.I have rated this a 5. It is as advertised with the additional benefit of slow release and not having to take as many tablets to get the higher dose of Calcium which is needed as we get older.
