Hydrophilic Ointment 14oz. 1 Ea (HY14)

This is the best stuff I've found for healing dry cracked hands. It absorbs into your skin in 10-20 minutes. If you need to use your hands sooner than that, I'd suggest using this at night. If you touch stuff with Hydrophilic on your hands, it will leave a greasy residue on things like, your cell phone or computer mouse and keyboard. The other thing you can do is put it on your hands and then wipe it off of your finger tips. This way your hands can heal, while your finger tips can keep working without leaving hydrophilic on everything. It's hard to find too. I could only find it on Amazon, and by special order at my local pharmacy.

I used to **LOVE** this stuff when it was Foguera brand & formula. This new ownership/ version/ formula is nowhere near as good. It often has separated liquid on the top, the white takes a LONG time to rub into one’s skin and the effectiveness isn’t stellar. I find I get better results from Eucerin Exzema cream (altho I believe it’s more expensive).That said, this is NOT the kind of cheap c*** that one finds in average Joe hotels or inexpensive lotions that simply wash out of one’s skin (even as long as the morning after). It’s just disappointing that is used to be AWESOME and now it’s good, with caveats.

great moisturized, apply while skin still moist and it works really well on dry and cracking skin. Great on whole body, best on dry hands, feet (heels), and elbows.

I have used hydrophilic ointment after my shower for at least 25 years. I used to be able to buy it in any drugstore, having the pharmacist special order it for me. Then, it wasn't available for a while. Didn't occur to me to try online. So glad I did. This product was recommended to me by a dermatologist. It was used by pharmacist as the vehicle for prescription ointments. As long as I can find this product, I won't use anything else.

Best ointment for chapped hands in cold weather.....

The ONLY reason for 4 stars is that it doesn't rinse as well. But it did do the job for my dry skin.
